Genre: what genre do you prefer to write in? Hmmm probably romance and humor, or at least that seems to be what I wind up writing lol I also like fantasy.

Trope: what’s a pet peeve you have about writing? In my own or other people’s? If it’s other people’s...I have a lot 🤣 it’s my job to, though. In my own? When I accidentally forget a plot element or miss a plot hole and it should’ve been obvious. Or when I’ve updated and then notice a typo.

Dedication: if you were to publish a book or multiple, who would you dedicate the book(s) to? Oh definitely my husband! He’s amazingly supportive of my writing, and 99% of the time is the first person to read something and give me feedback. He doesn’t really beta—he doesn’t want to delve into plot stuff, but he’ll point out typos and answer specific questions if I have them.

Critic: what’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received about writing? That’s tough bc I’ve read a lot of good advice, but I’d have to say “write for the audience you want, not the one you’re afraid of” is one I try to remind myself of a lot. Also the whole idea that unless it’s literally your job and you’re being paid and under a deadline, have fun with your writing. And if you’re not having fun, take a break and come back later. In my case...sometimes those breaks are several months long 😂 Oops.

Coolest Halloween Costume: Hmmm i had a kick-ass Robin Hood one in middle school, but no, I’d probably have to go with the time I went as Aerith and my husband was Sephiroth. (yes, I know. What can I say? He loves me to death *ducks rotten produce*)

Have you ever been stood up: Yes (and then like a moron I dated him and even got engaged to him. Thank fuck I came to my senses before I made that huge mistake…)

Stupidest thing you’ve ever done: other than get engaged to an asshat who stood me up on the first date? probably drinking 180 proof moonshine bc holy hell that shit is NASTY. A close second/third was the time I taught 7 college freshman composition classes at two different schools as an adjunct. Not fun. At all.

All time favourite shows: ughhhh i am so not good at this question. ST:TNG, NCIS (though I haven’t seen several of the most recent seasons…i’m like…5 years behind), ugh I don’t knowwwww this is hard. just...browse my blog for a bit, they’re liable to show up somewhere...

Last movie you saw in theatres: y’all are gonna laugh, but I don’t like going to the movies (it’s cold and inevitably i have to pee and then i miss part of the movie…) so the last one was Toy Story 3? i think?
