ngl i’m now back in my own house getting chonged and watching let’s plays bc i’m lazy as shit and it’s far too cold outside for the outfit i picked today.

in scotland if you make less than $11500 per year you don’t pay income tax, but sometimes when you start a new job you get put in the “emergency tax” bracket so you get charged a certain amount of income tax until the hrmc sends your correct tax code to your employers (and you get the money you paid back if you are owed it). usually this just takes a couple weeks BUT i’ve been paying this tax for over 4 months now bc my employer and their accountant can’t get their shit together for two seconds to fix it. like, i have physically written down and handed the correct code to my employer myself (i can see it on my gov gateway account) so they can’t say they didn’t get it and i’m still waiting. i am also being charged a higher rate of national insurance contributions but i don’t get that money back ayy lmao.
