Following the idea of disrupting an object and disrupting the train of thought, I bedazzled this sheep vertebrae piece I found on a hike. As some base research, the process of changing an object fundamentally so that it no longer looks the same, serves the same purpose, or exists in the same way was my goal. I intend to do this with more objects, whether they are slightly disturbing to begin with or not. My goal is to bring a moderate level of discomfort to viewers.

Some of the comments/responses I've received when introducing others to this bedazzled bone;

"Why the hell did you do that?"

"Ew, that's weird."
