Closed starter Characters: Lucia & Toby - @astravorestine Location: UTP
The summer heat was absolutely disrespectful. Lucia had barely been outside for fifteen minutes before she was already questioning every life choice that had led her into the sun. The air felt heavy, humid enough to cling to her skin, and even the faint breeze did little to help. Spotting an ice cream truck parked nearby felt like divine intervention. Without hesitation, she made her way over, immediately scanning the menu plastered across the side. Her eyes landed on the firecracker popsicle first. Solid choice. Then she noticed the ice cream sandwich. Also a solid choice.
A problem.
Lucia pushed her sunglasses onto the top of her head and stared at the selection as though the answer might magically reveal itself. "Damn this selection of treats." A small pout tugged at her lips. Whoever designed these menus clearly enjoyed creating impossible decisions. Her gaze bounced between the two options again. One was refreshing. One was nostalgic. Both sounded perfect.
"This is cruel, actually," she muttered to herself, folding her arms. "Why am I being forced to choose when I could very obviously be happy with both?" she paused. Then she glanced toward the nearest unfortunate bystander. "Be honest." She pointed dramatically toward the menu. "Firecracker popsicle or ice cream sandwich?" Her expression turned serious. "The next thirty seconds determine whether I trust your judgment or not."
