I still don't understand alot of the story

So is avrin and Irene the same?? Or is avrin MCD aphmau??

Avrin is just Aphmau in general. Just a name swap because I just… dislike Aphmau’s name. Avrin isn’t much better but at least I don’t associate the name with Jesson. By extension that does also make Avrin Irene, and I’ve decided on Irene not having been her actual name but more of a stage name to better fit the persona she displayed during her saint days. So… Avrin is just every incarnation and version of Aphmau. To simplify

As for the Avrin and Shad storyline because that’s the only way I know how to elaborate on them:

Avrin and Shad met during her earlier saint days. She wasn’t going by Irene at this point and people would request her help if crops were dying, villagers were injured, etc etc. Shad had torn his way out of the abyss and was living on the outskirts of a village, his presence causing the crops within it to die and the people to get ill. Avrin was called in to help and she realised it was magicks almost immediately. Magicks has an aura and all. So she searched for Shad, found him, they fought a little before they ended up talking it out. She offered to help him control it to make her job easier and he agreed. They ended up getting really close, closer than they ended up being with anyone else that she recruited to join their little saint squad, and that resulted in a relationship. By that point the saint stuff had begun to get to her head and she was slowly becoming more conceited and self-absorbed, but he loved her anyway. They ended up married, even had a kid together, and they genuinely really loved eachother. So much so that she ended up killing their daughter to keep Shad around for longer. Which was the start of his spiral into pure rage. The war happened, he ‘died’, she remarried for reputation and then she ended up disappearing. They next saw eachother during the Amaranth/MCD era. And that’s I think the most important era for their relationship but that’s for another time

So…. I’ll have to do another that tumblr will allow
