And now, i re-introduce Shauden! He’s 15 and his favorite subject is music! He plays violin in the school orchestra. His best friends are Iskra and Sodalite.

Oh thanks for asking! Soda and Iskra have known each other since they were around 4 or 5. Their parents lived near each other and were friends before that. Iskra’s dad and Soda’s parents work for the same company. When Iskra was adopted Soda pretty much liked him right away and felt the need to protect him since he was very small and blind. As they got older Soda noticed that Darklings (the type of demon Iskra is) have a pretty bad rep and Soda wanted show people that they’re actually harmless and it’s actually humans and other demons that normally provoke them. This and the fact that Iskra prefers to wear dresses amd skirts, made Soda want to protect him more even tho he really doesn’t need it haha. Iskra can totally take care of himself and usually does. It’s only if it comes to fisticuffs that Soda will step in but that only happened once and the other kids were too scared of Soda after that to really do anything more than throw insults that Iskra is more than capable of countering.

Soda’s parents work long hours and occasionally leave on business trips so Soda stays at Iskra’s house a lot. They also often hold hands and sit very close. It’s not weird for them to share food or drinks. They’re almost always together. Everyone just kinda assumes they’re dating but they’re totally not. It isn’t like that. They love each other but it isn’t romantic.

I’d also like to point out that they’re both very close with Shauden as well. They’re a trio not a duo. They met him when they were all around 9 or 10. During the events of the story when Shauden suddenly disappears they’re both very much affected to the point where their grades drop and Soda’s cheering is noticeably not as good. (It makes Soda even more vigilant while doing his very secret night job that even Iskra doesn’t know about)

Bonus: Iskra’s mom is a seamstress and since she of course adores Soda just like her own child, makes fancy dresses for Soda to wear (she probably knows Soda’s secret. In fact she definitely does)
