 I feel like I may actually end up applying for a health studies major instead of biology… it’s kinda crazy because I didn’t even know what health studies was before like september, but I really like it! I’m excited to go to my health classes and see what’s in store today, and I feel like I can have a more immediate and significant impact in public health as opposed to in bio. I still find chem and bio fascinating, but I don’t have that same thrill to go to my chem class to to start bio next term. I also love the systems way of thinking in public health, there’s so much potential for research and intervention. and let’s face it america’s health and health system has a lot of room for growth.  Another thing is the type of people in health studies, don’t get me wrong but they seem more mature, open, and passionate than the kids in my chem class and I love that about it, i think it’s fairly indicative of the type of ppl who go into each field too
