"Take A Good Look At Me" - 🔵@maestro320 s Notes: Do I make you feel uneasy with the way I look? Does the mere sight of me make your skin crawl? Did you know that your kind did this to me to satisfy your egos? Are you aware that 100 Million of my kind are killed by you every year to feed you, your pets and farm animals? Did you know that your persuit of legends about grandeur and eternal life has brought our population down to critical numbers? Did you know that in doing so, you are slowly killing your own kind? Take a good look at me and know. #SharkIDRoxy • This incredible up close footage of one of the iconic members of the One Ocean Diving @oneoceandiving Family, Roxy The Tiger Shark was filmed off Hawai'i's North Shore using the New GoPro HERO8 Black courtesy of GoPro @gopro Geek, RED Digital @reddigitalcinema Camera Ambassador, Passionate Shark Conservationist, Award Winning Director, Producer, Conservation Photojournalist and Filmmaker. It is notable for having the widest food spectrum of all sharks, with a range of prey that includes crustaceans, fish, seals, birds, squid, turtles, sea snakes, dolphins, and even other smaller sharks. It also has a reputation as a "garbage eater", consuming a variety of inedible, man-made objects that linger in its stomach. Though apex predators, tiger sharks are sometimes taken by groups of killer whales. The tiger shark is captured and killed for its fins, flesh, and liver. It is caught regularly in target and nontarget fisheries. Several populations have declined where they have been heavily fished. Continued demand for fins may result in further declines in the future. They are considered a near threatened species due to excessive finning and fishing by humans. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5Iktvrj9V0/?igshid=10jlk7ntmvix2
