I doubt it, Marvel writers tend to be pretty close knit in the ways of working together on large plotlines. Regardless of ANX, it was common knowledge that Cyclops was going to come to the school eventually (why wouldn't he?)
so the question still stands
why would quentin join a mutant murdering psychopath and not somebody working for the revolution
"he needs to stay in one book" is a bullshit excuse for backward characterization
but considering that the reason my Quentin hasn't gone with Cyke is because he doesn't want to leave his girlfriend. Jason Aaron really hasn't shown Quentin doing anything more than bugging and sometimes flirting with Idie, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that's why he hasn't pursued the mutant pride parade.
