do you think sam and shang-chi would get along or? because on the one hand they're both trying to protect the same neighborhood (yay) on the other hand I keep seeing people calling the five weapons society a cult and you know. sam's probably not going to be thrilled about that.

i think shang-chi would definitely Try to get along with sam (plus he has a lot of experience with like. esme and lin lie etc) but since the public notion is that shang-chi runs a cult it’d definitely be hard for sam to look past that, especially since gang war kind of shows that he isn’t refuting that title. overall i know sam would be skeptical at best and protective of chinatown at worst (? don’t know how to put it into words) but i know shang-chi would get along with him especially since he needs a break from the loudness of his life, just can’t say the same for the other way around

that or sam recognizes shang-chi from grandma wang’s bakery and decides that makes him trustworthy enough LOL
