Just some small snippet of me playing Chapter Challenge with Rachel because I've never really experienced playing her outside of the DOA games. I SUCK at playing her (i've missed so many opportunities to pull off a successful counter attack) but god she feels so damn fun and mechanically satisfying to play (especially when you execute her Izuna Drop).
I unironically think that Fa Zheng and Sun Shangxiang are so cute together. Something about the shiftiest guy imaginable x woman who is an actual ray of sunshine but could beat you to a bloody pulp, is a neat dynamic.

idk what i was thinking but i thought it would be cute to put together a mini video of that Motochika and Okuni romance that happened in one of my Samurai Warriors 4: Empires playthroughs.

This video is mostly to demonstrate to people how 'romance' works in SW4E, but some of this stuff does also apply similarly to friendships, sworn allies, retainer-daimyo relationships, and rivalries.
I should say that before hand, you at least need to have your two targeted characters interact with each other at least once or twice by making them fraternise for a turn. However these CANNOT be done close together in succession, you need to have the fraternised interactions spaced out between turns. This is especially so if its with a character who is a Damiyo, so you might accidentally end up with the other character being a Retainer instead.
After this, next time you go into battle, and select one of the characters to go into the fight, the other character they've interacted with (indicated with happy yellow smiley face) will come up as an optional party member. you must take them into the same battle as well. Eventually if you're able to swap between the two or an objective comes up, that's your cue to fulfill the objective to make the characters bonds even stronger. This doesn't just go for potential romance options, its also applied to friendships, nemesis system, Mentor-Pupil relationships, rivalries and retainers and sworn allies. Although with regard to Rivalries and Nemeses, you have to do the objective TWICE in two different battles.

Some older-ish recording of me trying Ninja Gaiden Black's mission mode fighting Awakened Alma. Ugh hated this fight but was able to get out with the skin of my teeth with some smart decision making + some REALLY good luck in the Blue and Red Orb drops occurring when I needed it most. And of course the split second stage 1 ulimate technique which charges up faster when yellow orbs are present.
Wang Yi deserves good things, and Xiahou Ba takes time to fully recognise that, but also literally gives Wang Yi a second chance at life because her old one was destroyed by Ma Chao.
