So, I was looking through Tyler-squared pictures for *cough*research*cough*, and I just realised that Brownie smiles only as long as he is in contact with Segs. Or to put it in another way, Brownie is physically incapable of smiling unless he is touching Segs. Your thoughts? (P.S. It also makes a great prompt, if you know what I mean *wink*) :D
Oh, I have noticed this. It's one of the truly delightful things about the picture TBrown instagrammed the other day. Some ideas, with varying chances of being based in reality:
He really only smiles when he's with Segs.
He thinks he looks better in pictures with his serious face, and Segs is the only one who can talk him into smiling instead.
He's uncomfortable posing for pictures, but when he's with Segs he's more likely to be happy and having so much fun that he forgets to be uncomfortable.
He was cursed by a vindictive fairy who wasn't invited to his christening. The fairy wasn't powerful enough to do anything worse, but did curse him to not be able to truly smile. The last, kinder fairy altered it so that he would be able to truly smile only in the presence of his true love/soulmate.
He's actually a robot and Segs is the only one who knows how to turn on the smiling option. (Brownie told him once in Juniors. He hasn't told anyone else, and he was surprised that his programming routed itself to telling Segs.)
The other Tyler Brown he played with in Juniors decided the way to distinguish between them was for only one of them to smile, and since he thought of it, he set the spell to make it him. Segs wasn't powerful enough to fully reverse it, but he managed to carve out an exception.
