No manner of hiding would save him from it. It was like the Pyro *sensed* him somehow. There was no way it could’ve seen him- he was hiding in perfect darkness, people ran right by him without even looking. The cowardly Medic was hardly a Medic at all- hardly a capable mercenary when it came down to the wire.Like a coward he retreated, curling up against a little cave of rubble. It was like the Pyro smelled him when it entered the room. Before he knew it, it was sticking its flamethrower in his face and there was nothing he could do about it.If it weren’t for the phantom, he would’ve been burnt to a crisp. He didn’t know how Phantasm did it, but he managed to ward off the Pyro by scaring it. He phased out of the darkness and gave the Pyro such a jolt of terror, it was running for its life, screaming in that gasmask."I won’t let you Respawn. You’re safe." Phantasm said quietly. He wanted, again, to apologize for what he had done- and what he had seen. He didn’t know why, but he hurt for Friedrich and wanted him to like him.Friedrich stared, then lowered his head."Thank you."Perhaps the odd creature was not so bad after all.
