Wip Intro: Shadowspinner
Light and dark. Order and chaos. Some call it fate, some call it destiny. Some believe the gods control all, some know there is a power even gods must answer to. And yet there is a truth to these forces: the world is a cycle. What goes up must come down.
Humanity flourishes across wide fields and rocky mountains, from the Aiclean Sea to across the Iolirelan continent. Those gifted practice their small magics, and all tremble before the might of the gods. Beasts of Night and Day chase each other across the sky; summer yields to autumn and winter to spring. The cycle continues to turn.
But everything changes when strands of shadow fall from the Night beast to the ground and claimed by a human mage.
What would a human do, given the powers of a god? Is destiny truly fixed? Or is it something to claim or conquer, ignore or understand?
