The only real downside of the origin runs in bg3 is that you miss out on the companion dialogue. Shadowheart is so quiet when you’re playing as her! I miss her snarky-ass comments 😭
That said, playing as her and romancing Karlach and Lae’zel (and halsin when the opportunity presents itself. and minthara. a little.) with Astarion as her bestie and Gale as her father figure has been so much fun. I do kinda wish they touched more on her opinions on the House of Healing in act two. Is she enthused by it? Horrified? Completely detached? These insane acts of violence done to the sick and injured in her patron goddess’s name must spark some feelings, whatever they may be. Or maybe I’m just projecting.
Blighted Village? Finished. Risen Road? Finished. Underdark? Finished. Grymforge? Finished. Spider Queen? Dead. Wood woad? Dead. Ethel? Dead. Kagha? Dead. Only took me 14 hours. New personal record!

Almost done with my Shadowheart Origin run. Heading to the brain next. I used the poly mod spell thing to unpartner Wyll, Laezel, and Gale. Still partnered with Karlach, Halsin, and Astarion. I don't think I'll use it again, though. When you are partnered with everyone, it feels more like you are partnered with no one. Shadowheart marks the halfway point of my Origin runs. Next will be on to Laezel, Gale, and Karlach. I'll be taking a break though. New map coming for Ark Survival Ascended, the other game I play.
