It’s that time of the month again for the Full Moon! Starting now until Sunday, March 24th at Midnight EST you can create starters in the starter tag or make private threads related to the special features that come with the full moon. You do not have to participate in the Full Moon starter prompt if you don’t want to, but the Full Moon is a way for any character in the rp to create a fun new starter (especially for the species that have different powers or abilities during the full moon) and we’ll detail how below. Basically, this starter prompt is just a reminder of when the full moon is and is an aid to help you hopefully get starter ideas. Please feel free to continue your ongoing threads and reply to existing starters. Even after the #shadowfullmoon starter thread deadline ends, you can still continue your character’s conversations. Just please don’t create any new full moon threads or starters until the next full moon. Also, if you have any questions about this recurring prompt feel free to shoot us a message.
*Note: During a full moon, if you want to INJURE your character, KILL an NPC (human or Supernatural), Â TURN your character or any other MAJOR plot related occurrence, YOU NEED TO MESSAGE THE MAIN FIRST TO ASK FOR APPROVAL. (You will most likely have your plot approved, but we just need to keep track of which major plots are happening on the dash. That, and we will be posting a recap after the full moon, detailing the major plots that occurred like two characters fighting or a NPC human dying etc. So, we need to know for that reason as well).
So what can you write a starter about for your characters?
In town, people often refer to the full moon as “The Changing”:
During a full moon, there is a town curfew. After 10 pm on a full moon, all humans are expected to stay inside for their own safety. Anyone under the age of 21 is required by law to stay inside, while everyone older than 21 is highly encouraged to. Often organizations will host lock ins at local pubs or churches. Go out at your own risk.
During full moons, for all supernaturals, use of powers after curfew is fair game. As long as no humans are physically killed during the “Changing”, everything else that occurs on the streets (not in sanctioned buildings and houses) is fair game with no punishment by law (including, but no limited to other forms of violence on either side- human and supernatural alike).
For our hunters, now is your chance to hunt throughout town without any consequences by the law.
For our werewolves, your character will be shifting. You don’t have to write a shifting starter if you don’t want to. But, if you want to have your character be forced to turn and be set lose on the town, now is your chance to!
For our witches, now is your chance to create starters and threads with those extra full moon abilities that you gain.
For our vampires & succubus/incubus, your character can have an intense desire to feed during the full moon and an urge to quench their thirst with the others around them.
For our Harpies/Sirens, your characters can have an intense desire to sing. Also, for newer harpies and sirens, they’ll sometimes have difficulty hiding their true form. You’ll often see sirens take to the water and harpies flock to the sky.
While most shops and stores are closed on the full moon:
The Hellmouth will be open for supernaturals to eat at and, abiding to the curfew, won’t allow humans in for the duration of the night. There will also be a strict “no harming others” policy while inside the establishment.
All Saint’s Hospital will stay up and running. If you work at the Hospital, you will most likely be having a shift sometime during the night.
Procaffination Cafe will be having a lock in Movie Night where they play re-runs of all the classics.
Flannigan’s will be having a Scottish pub style lock-in. There will be music from a live band for part of the night and people can gather around and drink with the pub owner until the sun comes up.
The Muttropawlitan stays open to help heal hurt werewolves who wander in and in the basement they have an area where werewolves can be locked up during the shift, so that they don’t run lose around town and hurt someone.
Dusk Till Dawn Inn will, also, stay open with their basement working as an area where werewolves can be locked up during the shift, so that they don’t run lose around town and hurt someone. Additionally, they will have discounted rooms for anyone needed a place to escape to during the full moon.
The House of Grace has a lock in where humans can gather around reading hymns, singing psalms and playing an assortment of boardgames. The church pews will be replaced by cots and, there will, also, be a large selection of food provided such as an array of baked goods and pastries from the Pie Hole and Little Debbies snack cakes.
Both speakeasy-style clubs, Neverland and Saints & Sinners, take to the streets. Humans who are 21+ party outside, experimenting with drinking, drugs and other narcotics out in the open, while supernaturals parade through the streets doing the same. Free booze is often provided.
Supernaturals lounge freely on Radley’s front and backyards participating in pack meetings and other events.
The Falls are a magical hotspot, so during the full moon, if you character takes a swim, if they’re supernatural, they might find themselves getting a boost a power and, if they’re human, they might find themselves acting a bit tipsy.
*Note: If you are the owner of an establishment and want your establishment to participate in the recurring events during a full moon or be open during a full moon feel free to message the main and we will add you to the list!
Anya is live and ready to show you everything. Watch her strip, dance, and perform exclusive shows just for you. Interact in real-time and make your fantasies come true.

Dianna had warned her. She told her to stay home and safe. She told her the werewolves would lose control. How the eclipse would impact the other species was something Kelsie didn’t know. Kelsie expected it wouldn’t impact her. She thought since she couldn’t shift she wouldn’t feel it. But she was wrong.
Kelsie was heading home after her shift at the Hellmouth. The moon was out, and suddenly everything hurt. Kelsie’s body started aching. She could feel it, like her body was trying to shift but the baby was keeping her human. Home. Almost home. Kelsie’s mind was racing. She could smell everything. Hear everything. She was supposed to be home before curfew, but that was rapidly becoming less important to her.
Her eyes were wide with fear, anxiety, and overstimulation as she looked around. Her mind was on edge. When she rounded a corner and nearly bumped into someone, she tensed and lashed out.  “Watch where you’re going,” Kelsie uncharacteristically snapped. The wolf inside her was trying desperately to get out.
Mattie rested against a brick wall, her back pressed against the building in hopes to ground her. Bright red eyes stared up at the red moon and she prayed the light from the eclipse would keep the tears from forming in her eyes. Her hands, red with blood, trembled at her sides. The last few moments replayed in her mind on a loop.Â
Someone now laid lifeless on the ground nearby, body drained of life and blood. It could easily be more than that as Mattie challenged her brain to bring more of the memories forward. She could not remember leaving her house or being conscious of her actions before this moment. The fear and guilt of not recalling the last ten minutes rushed over her each time her eyes ventured down the road towards the park. After snapping back to reality and realizing what she was doing, she left the poor body and ran.Â
Mattie was at a loss of what to do. She never lost control before, not like this. Although she equally despised the idea, this was why she tried to get her blood from wildlife over people. What drove her to be this unstable, this monster, frightened her the most. Tears started rolling down her cheeks. At least she could be thankful no one saw her at the park; or that she did not see anyone else out around her. Now? The young vamp should be hiding, not standing in the middle of the road. No matter how badly she wanted to run off and hide, tried to keep a level head. She had to do something to cover her tracks before leaving.
“I should move it, shouldn’t I?” she questioned herself as she looked back towards the direction of the park. “But… Do I move it? Would that make it worse?” Her hand massaged her temples as she thought out loud. “If I hide it, I stay out of trouble for a little longer. But then that means I stay out longer and I-...” She grimaced. “ I have to touch it…” The idea of touching the lifeless body was gross despite how easy it was moments ago. Mattie then threw her hands in the air, her voice louder than it should be while trying to hide. “Urg! Why is this so hard?”
It’s that time of the month again for the Full Moon! So what does that mean? It means that starting now until Tuesday, January 22nd at Midnight EST you can create starters in the starter tag or make private threads related to the special features that come with the full moon. You do not have to participate in the Full Moon starter prompt if you don’t want to.
This starter prompt is just a reminder of when the full moon is and is an aid to help you hopefully get starter ideas. Please feel free to continue your ongoing threads and reply to existing starters. Even after the #shadowfullmoon starter thread deadline ends, you can still continue your character’s conversations. Just please don’t create any new full moon threads or starters until the next full moon. Also, if you have any questions about this reoccurring prompt feel free to shoot us a message.
This month is a Super Blood Wolf Moon.Â
Below the cut, we will detail how this will affect each species during the full moon. The moon itself will hold bewitching powers over the residents in town and create opportunities for unique starters not available during other full moon plot drops.
(You will most likely have your plot approved, but we just need to keep track of which major plots are happening on the dash.)
So what can you write a starter about for your characters?
In town, people often refer to the full moon as “The Changing”:
During this full moon, all supernaturals will notice a change in their abilities. Because of this, the town handles everything differently than the usual full moon. Curfew for humans is moved to 9 p.m., mandating they lock themselves some place safely for the night and warn about the dangers of going out tonight.
Beware while hunting, as the supernatural are the most powerful and unpredictable on this night.
For werewolves, your character’s abilities will experience a surge of power. The urge to shift will be impossible to control and their mind will verge on feral. Werewolves in packs will have a little more control as long as they remain with their pack members. Their telepathic bond will serve as a tether for them. Lone wolves will have no control.
For witches, your character will also experience a surge of power. This means it is highly probable they can do spells and utilize their abilities in ways they cannot normally do, or cannot do without a coven. The trade-off is they also have less control of their powers.
For vampires, your character’s urge to feed is heightened. Their bloodthirst becomes much stronger. How fueled they are by their need to feed depends on a sliding scale of their age. Newborn vamps will be uncontrollable, whereas older vampires will have increasingly more control.
For harpies, your character’s immunity to air magic has been erased for the night. That means spells and summons from witches based with air magic will now affect and damage your character.
For sirens, your character will find that if they have been relying on a manufactured body of water (a manmade pool, fountain, etc,) their skin and scales will dry and ache in this water. Their only solution is to go the Falls in the woods to make the pain go away.
For succubi/incubi, your character will be releasing intense pheromones. Their alluring abilities are heightened to the point where they don’t even have to try and they will be approached by those affected. However, their ability to control themselves remains the same as it was before the full moon.Â
Humans have a few options on this night: Due to the state of half of the population in town, both the community center and the church will quarantine starting at 9 p.m. where humans can enjoy a movie night, comfortable cots, and spend time together. Other humans have volunteered to work at the hospital, and some who support the undeclared supernaturals are working at the vet clinic (where supes can seek help without worried about being asked for I.D. and papers.)
With all that in mind, have a frightful full moon! This is a special full moon plot drop, next month we should return to our regular full moon post. Again, if you want to INJURE your character, KILL an NPC (human or Supernatural), TURN your character or any other MAJOR plot related occurrence, you need to message the main for approval.

“So, remember, keep your voice low,” Tae said to the other person, before twisting around to grab his backpack and unzip it. “What kind of potion were you looking for again? Luck? Love? Confidence?”
