Kitty rubbed her hands together nervously as she sat down next to Kate. “Same,” she said. She hadn’t slept much since her arrival. The only times she slept were when she was too tired to keep her eyes open. “I have some news that I think you might want to know.”

    Kate shifted slightly so she was facing the other, clearly interested in whatever Kitty had to share. She was essentially the only link Kate had to whatever was going outside, and anything that had led to her stopping by at this time of night was likely important. “Hit me.”

        “couldn’t sleep,” she shrugged as if it was the most normal thing in the world - she honesty couldn’t remember her last decent night’s sleep. “i could ask you the same question, though. what’s got you up this late?”

After his talk with Ororo, Josh went back to his room and showered, it took longer than he would have liked and he’d felt rather grim washing crusty blood off himself and seeing the water turn pink, but after a good hour he was clean and freshly dressed in jeans, a long-sleeved top and a beanie over his white hair. He’d looked at his map of the school and found where Kitty, Ms Pride, lived and figured he owed her an apology given his new mindset towards things.

So he’d rather nervously headed over and those same nerves stayed with him as he knocked on her door, taking a small breath while he waited for an answer. “Ms Pride? Do you have a moment?”
