Working on a little bit of world building for my character Blue Scar’s world.
Blue bellies-largest animals in the area. Males have a brighter blue belly than females and have a solid black stripe on their throats, along with air sacs that are inflated to impress the females.
Reapers-rulers of the forest. They’re the largest carnivore in the region. They’re often solitary but will live in pairs after finding a suitable mate. They’re monogamous and rarely go out of their way to replace a fallen mate. (Blue Scar is a reaper)
Shadow biters-small black dromeosaurs that only come out at night. Not much is known about them but there are stories about them flying around to feed on hatchlings that stay up passed their bedtime.
Tree guards-biggest dromeosaurs in the forest. They climb up into trees and wait for unsuspecting prey to walk underneath their perch. Males have eyespots on the bottom of their wings that are used for display and impress females. They are monogamous, only searching for a new mate if one of the two dies.
Bush beards-fairly small ceratopsians with relatively long, lanky legs and hairlike feathers running along the cheeks and down their stomach and legs. Males have vibrant colorations and patterns on their crests that only brighten during mating season.
