First look at your rival in Pokemon Obscura! Crow isn’t very friendly (to you nor anyone else), but can you blame them? They’re dead, stuck in limbo, and only the strongest person can be reborn. I’d be pretty cranky too.
Bonus concept sketch for them. Gen 2 spriting is certainly limiting so you lose some details, but I’m still pleased with how the sprite came out :)

Other games include Flashpoint (classic RPG with active time battle system and entirely too many custom scripts), Vesper Quest (Neopets-inspired fanmade “Neoquest III” retro-style game), Faint Dawn: Daybreak Edition (remaster of my first RPG, Faint Dawn, though I haven’t started on it yet), the above-mentioned Pokemon Obscura (gen 2-styled surreal Pokemon game), and its inspiration, the completed game of Cyclical Recurrences (gen 1 Pokemon/Yume Nikki mashup).
Pardon the blurriness, but it does a lot more justice to see some of my sprites/sounds in action :) Music is from Pokemon TCG and Pokemon GSC, but player/Pokemon sprites and cries are by yours truly!
Today in Flashpoint development, a rare variant of enemy has been spotted! Found around the solar system, Gold Enemies are similar to their regular counterpart, but they seem to hold better loot and more experience. Do they hold any other secrets? Only time will tell.
Today in Flashpoint development, I worked on the crafting/smithing system some more! Which involved coming up with a lot of rocks/minerals/alloys/gems. Huge shoutout to Aren for helping with those...because I am fairly rock illiterate. Anyways, sprited ‘em all after for the item database, so here’s the *~pretty*~ part of my work :3

Today in Flashpoint development, more work on the fast travel map! (to the point where I can now show some of it off lol). Static images don’t do it justice, since the screen moves around as you select locations and the planets also rotate!
Have I mentioned I love space? I love space.
Introducing Variant Forms to Pokemon Obscura! Much like shinies, variants can appear in the wild with various odds (as depicted in the picture). Each Pokemon will have 0-3 alternate forms, and if you're lucky, you might even find a shiny one!
Deltas show the most promise for being useful, as they add some extra type diversity and even come with tweaked learnsets. Glitches end up with really bizarre moves, some of which may be more helpful than others... And Poke Balls? They do nothing, they're just for prestige :)
And if you're a regular shiny hunter like me, you can also cry now |D (don't worry, you can guarantee-breed forms, and breeding has increased shiny odds, so I'm not completely, irredeemably awful)
We’re bringing back the Flashpoint meme of me finding more scripts instead of fleshing out the story/maps. Just another small diversion I swear XD
Anyways, implemented a card collection system. Sadly you can’t do anything with them, but it iiiis another little trinket you can find around the world. Here’s a mockup/tester card, hence all the placeholder text. The art will probably be pixel-styled scenes, but we’ll see when I get there.
I like to imagine a small but fervent group of children running around, one bragging “well I got a holo LIO:R last week, so take that!” while the others try not to look jealous but they’re weeping inside. I digress.
