“I mean, sure, the cold does mess you up mentally or whatever and make you far more boring, but I feel like you’d be more boring with half of your fingers and toes frostbitten off.”

Shade shoots the 12 year old girl(?) an angry look. “Listen. I can’t do this cold thing anymore. I need to get over it. It’s a dumb fear, anyways.”

“And the frostbite?”

“Aren’t you a goddess? Just heal it. You brought me back to life. Plus it’s not like I can actually lose fingers. They’re metal.”

The godling scoffs, unfortunately out-logic-ed.

This is how Shade ends up mostly buried under snow they packed into a sort of structure. It looks somewhere between a tiny burrow and a husky curling up in a hole in the snow.

Their ashy skin looks even paler than normal, and their breathing is clearly being forced to not make them hyperventilate. They’re trembling, both from the cold and the fear of being stuck again. They couldn’t lose more time to the cold.

It’s not that kind of cold. They try to remind themself. This isn’t cryofreeze.

Enyo is off to the side, looking incredibly bored as she watches her champion shivering in the snow. Her wings are wrapped around herself. She isn’t visible to most humans, and they’re in the middle of the woods, so any passerby hiker would come across some random kid in the snow.
