Her fit was heavily inspired by Reese Witherspoon in this clip from Friends. A few notes: Garcia's hair is down with her curls styled and parted slightly to the side—AM likes a middle part, so Pic 1 is closest to what I'm thinking; earrings similar to Pic 2, but bigger (Yolanda Garcia is NOT afraid of a statement hoop); tube top like Pic 3, but a little longer; skirt based on the linked video & Pic 4, but with a lower waistline; racer leather jacket like Pic 5 (remember Garcia's a millennial, so not oversized hahah); and boots like Pic 6, but about an inch shorter heel. And every bit of metal would be gold

Her fit was heavily inspired by every masc I know lol Not as much to note, except that she isn't wearing makeup; same small, two and one hoops from S1; no pocket on the shirt; maybe a belt, maybe not; and there's more distinctive pockets on the bomber leather jacket. And every bit of metal would be silver

Essentially, I think there's two ways of approaching this. Either you believe:

1. The writers know exactly what's happened with Garsantos. They sat down—10 month timeline in hand—and planted every milestone and development, from their first interaction after S1, to their first kiss, to their first sleepover, to yes, maybe something going down in the days leading up to S2

I initially thought this might be the case, especially after E9 and the "we're just keeping it casual, right?" moment. But then, as the season unfolded, there were enough inconsistencies that I started to seriously question what the fuck was going on while losing faith that the show would handle this storyline with care

And then the actors' interviews didn't help. AM spoke about deciding, on her own, that Garcia's apartment was getting renovations in order to justify why she stayed at Santos' place. And Isa said, “It's just, yeah, what a workplace situationship would be. The audience doesn't really know what it is, I don't think they know what it is fully, either.” Of course, Isa could be implying that The Pitt creatives are more aware, with just the characters and audience meant to be confused. But still, at a minimum, these statements don't suggest that their relationship was properly planned out

Which leads me to the second, more likely possibility...

2. The show creatives decided Garsantos would be messy, and they threw in enough hints at some underlying tension (such as what we can see in the E7 script), without actually refining the details. Instead, they decided to let us fill in the blanks, to let us speculate and reason away the plot holes and discrepancies—including between what was purportedly intended versus what ended up on screen—essentially having fans write the story for them

Now, if this were a one-off situation, I wouldn't be so cynical. But all of season 2 was sloppy, as I've harped on again and again, and that's whittled down my trust, making me less willing to give the benefit of the doubt. It's fun to theorize why Garsantos acted the way they did, but I don't believe anything we guess can actually be canon, because I don't believe there is any canon on this

And, on the slight chance that there is, why the fuck wasn't it shown? We watched Santos do next to nothing the last three episodes, and Garcia was still around until E14. Was there truly no room for one more scene, either before or during this period, to explain why their vibe was so weird? Specifically, to answer some of the questions I've posed in previous Asks, including why Garcia randomly swings from hot to cold and back again?

Hahah time to keep writing the KMG epilogue and Garcia’s POV as we wait for S3 😂

Okay, tbh I was pretty convinced that Metz was out after this season. I don’t think the show’s gonna continue the Garsantos situationship, and there just isn't anything for her to do without Santos—Garcia treated Langdon normally the second he was back, so there's no tension there; she doesn't have a unique connection with anyone else but them; and being a quippy, kinda asshole comic relief only holds so much charm

But then Ganesh was written off.

And the negative response has been admirably strong over the show's mistreatment and discardment of WOC cast members, making me wonder if those at the top feel backed into a corner? If Metz is cut, many sapphic fans will not remain quiet, and it would result in pretty bad PR on top of pretty bad PR

That makes me think she's staying, but I fear Garcia will be even more underutilized than before. Maybe they'll work in some interesting post-Garsantos-breakup moments. But how would this feel any different than what we saw this season? We already watched Santos being nervous around her/Garcia acting cool/plus a lot of awkward communication. (And I can't imagine canon Garcia as a big yearner, as much I wish it were true!) Rather than giving us some happy, flirty moments in S2 and saving more of the angst for S3, the show speedran their “relationship” right into the ground
