G1 SG au: Lancer is a Beachcomber redeco and transforms into a........ whatever this buggy is.
I'm pretty syre it's from before 1984, but the only information i got from asking a buggy subreddit was "Toad" and googling that was inconclusive.

G1 SG au: The Arc's crew (initial Autobot Earth team)
Elita One (G1 Blurr redeco; cybertronian car)
Chromia (G1 First Aid redeco; ambulance)
Lancer (G1 Beachcomber redeco; dune buggy) [also the buggy's pipes turn into a lance]
Greenlight (Ectotron redeco; tailfin car) [feat. Arcee who isn't on Earth]
Firestar (G1 Hot Spot redeco; long flatbed truck) [that's the Autobot symbol's colors which everybody's supposed to have, just with a more pointy G2 symbol instead]

I still think sg Firestar and sg Elita have some of the best colors
I mean there's Gold 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 455 Cid, but that might be a little too much gold and too little of the other color?
At least the locations are about right for the gold parts to come from the legs and arms. Not necessarily a fan of making G1 SG Lancer black and gold though, plus that would look really weird in baseline Lancer's colors (i'm planning on fixing her bot design though, making it look more functional and actuallyG1-like as in blocky and kibbly, and like she can actually bend at the waist).
Hmm, yeah it does seem like a tough decision, even if you're changing up her physical design which is fair fair
G1 SG au's canon relationships so far are megashock and Lancer/Greenlight

I got an idea suddenly.
The combiner Orthia is technically in the G1 continuity. What if G1 SG, whatever actually happens in The Movie's equivalent, whoever reformats the villains instead of Unicron, (permanently?) fuses the dead/dying Elita, Firestar, Lancer, Greenlight, and Moonracer into the huge Orthia?
(Not sure if that's a good idea because that's a lot of the female characters dying at once, plus i haven't decided their dynamics or

The G1 cartoon Ark had a crew of 18-19 (depending on whether you ignore the existence of Hauler, who appeared for two seconds in one episode without lines or robot mode or name)
Tfwiki gives a lot less non-Earth team Autobots than it does non-Earth Decepticons, which is a problem for the G1 SG au. Also basically all new Autobots and Decepticons from The Movie have their origin unexplained, the ones on Earth could've been born there for all we know and who knows how old the ones from space are either).

G1 SG au Dinobots would be created on Earth like in the G1 cartoon, by Greenlight and/or Lancer.
The SG Dinobots' creation has to be quite interesting in this universe
Briefly i thought G1 SG au Lancer's earth altmode could be something that actually came with gold parts, like Trans Am Recaro, but that color placement is hard. And it's propably too little gold, even if some of her gold plating goes under the car.
I have trouble thinking of anything. Colors are also funky because SG Lancer is green and gold and baseline Lancer is purple and gold, which could end up looking like a pimpmobile or something.
Oh that's a pretty car, and yeahhh a lot of vehicles will look like a pimpmobile when trying to apply Lancer or sg Lancer's colors to them
