There is a scene in the play I'm currently ASMing where an actor smashes a (breakable) glass on a tray, that is placed on the ground, and lifts his hand up to find he has slashed his hand open. The problem is breakable glass can only have have water and food colouring in, so his sleeves are rolled up so the food colouring doesn't stain his costume and the show is performed in a very small space so the audience will hear the pop of a blood bag; even if we could have a blood bag there is nowhere to hide it
