they both do, and it’s almost like a competition to see who gets to the couch first. normally it’s severus that gets to the couch, much to the chagrin to amelia when she gets home from work--she satisfies herself by tossing a pillow in his face before huffing off to bed.

makes friends with the neighbors

amelia for sure. she was always told to talk less, smile more, because becoming at least acquaintances got you far in life. severus is the exact opposite, so he’ll just give her a look when she attempts to bake for the new neighbors and roll his eyes at her faux smile.

is the adventurous eater

out of the two? definitely amelia, though she’s not too much more than severus. both like what they already know. amelia is just more likely to venture outside of her comfort zone.

hogs the covers at night

neither hog the cover, actually. they’re not really wild sleepers, so more often than not they’ll wake up in a similar position with about the same amount of cover as when they went to sleep.

forgets to do the dishes

amelia. she’s pretty sure severus is going to hex her one day for it.

tries to surprise their partner more often

they both do subtly, really. randomly showing up at work, meeting the other for dinner; things that they know will make the other smile.

leaves dirty laundry on the floor

again, amelia. she’s not the cleanest person in the world, despite popular belief.

stays up til 2 AM reading

both of them. they have similar sleep schedules, really, because of their jobs.

sings in the shower

amelia, and she knows it drives severus nuts. that only makes her sing louder.

takes the selfies

definitely amelia. severus would never take selfies unless it fit in with his #aesthetic. can’t rid him of his emo.

plans date night

it’s more of a mutual thing. their dates really consist of asking what the other wants for dinner that night and going from there.

they’re both guilty of it, the pair of them often getting so wrapped up in the books they’re reading that they just doze off on the sofa and wake up with a hell of a cricked neck.

neither of them are particularly invested in the idea, much preferring to keep to themselves. in a pinch, marlene would be more likely to.

is the adventurous eater

neither of them, mostly because neither of them are particularly skilled at cooking. they make what they know they like and that tends to be the extent of their culinary experience

pippin. mostly because marlene and severus are still in the blissful stage of a relationship where every night sees them cuddling. when so closely wrapped up in each other, it’s hard for either of them to ‘steal’ the covers. pippin takes great advantage of this.

forgets to do the dishes

marlene because she always forgets that the kitchen is also sev’s brewing area and therefore needs to be clean at all times. the thought just never occurs to her to actually clean them, though she swears she’ll get round to it eventually.

tries to surprise their partner more often

they aren’t fans of surprises as they often mean bad things, but marlene is probably more likely to attempt it. to be met with sev telling her that though he appreciates the effort, she should never try and surprise him again

leaves dirty laundry on the floor

marlene does, but she also cleans it up. it just might take her a couple of hours, perhaps a day.

both. of. them. often tangled up together in some way but reading completely different books. occasionally marlene will take a break from her book and read sev’s over his shoulder and vice versa.

sev, but very, very lowkey. mostly when marlene isn’t in the house or isn’t conscious. marlene has heard it maybe twice, but pretends she never has. it’s his greatest secret.

takes the selfies

marlene takes selfies like nobody’s business. she has a collection of selfies which all have sev in the background, taking an aesthetic picture because their instagrams have always been complete opposites to each other
