Séverine Gallardo, French, @severinegallardo ___ “Severine Gallardo, artista francesa de fibra, originária de Angoulême, formou-se na Faculdade de Belas Artes de Marselha em 2000, mas não nas disciplinas relacionadas com têxteis. Na verdade, como ela mesma diz, o estudo dessas matérias não era nada incentivado pelas escolas de arte. O encontro com os fios e os tecidos deu-se graças ao precioso saber-fazer que lhe transmitiam as avós desde a infância e foi o ponto de partida do que mais tarde se tornou um percurso artístico baseado na linguagem dos têxteis que remete para as técnicas tradicionais de feltragem, bordados e tricô.
