Name: Severine Type: Synthetic Blood Substitution Beverage Flavor: Diet/Electrolyte taste Purpose: Several years ago, while working on her research on supernatural physiology, Viv shifted her focus to the one thing that gives vampires their power and livelihood, blood. While she researched the chemical, biological, and magical structures of various blood types and it's effect on the vampiric body, she stumbled upon something that at first seemed trivial, but would later prove insurmountable in its application. It was a complicated formula of different biological and magical compounds that, when interacting with vampiric cells, led to a chemical reaction, and it was found in all blood variants. What she'd found was the core structure of what makes blood tic in vampires... and if she could find it, maybe there was a chance she could replicate it.

Over the last year, Vivian has finally perfected her synthetic blood recipe. Ethically, of course. She's spent much of her time between her lab and traveling for research, and has recently returned to propose her idea to Vievecor City’s supernatural community as the beverage, now called Severine, is ready for mass production. With Artemis' demands for more ethical treatment for humans, it's Vivian's hope that this will ease tension in the city and assist with inter-species cooperation.

They always seem to run into each other - and considering Asa doesn't know too many within the Weiss family, he really can't help the way his dark eyes light up when he sees Sev again. A few stools down at the bar, sitting and minding his own business. Asa's tattooed fingers worry at a napkin that he's twisted and turned a few times before finally, he walks over.

"Hullo." Asa's Irish accent is thick, only 5 or so years since he'd been living there and London, after all. A fruity drink is held in his hand and his grin gets bigger as he catches the other's eye. "How're you doing? Feel like I just saw you at the diner. 's like we're circling each other!" He looks at the stool beside him. "You alright if I, uh...?"

The second she pulled up to the Stargazer Villas, she was already regretting this decision--and she technically hadn't even made it yet. She could still turn around right now. Get back in her car and drive away. But far too much had happened at this point to just keep living the way she had been, pretending that everything was fine and that the story was going to end the way she wanted it to. But she was finally starting to get wise to the fact that that probably wasn't going to happen. So here she was, at her cousin's abode--and she wasn't here to fucking grovel, for the record. But she worried that's what he'd think.

She didn't want to do this. She didn't want to come to Sev, as if it was her 'hour of need' (but maybe it was). Besides, why would he help her? Almost everyone in her life was fucking tired of her and honest to god, she wasn't quite sure how Meera hadn't yet reached that conclusion herself and as the days passed, she became more and more worried that eventually, her girlfriend would come to the realization and be done with her. But as cheesy as it sounded, there were things that still gave her hope. Like finding out that her mother was actually alive. Like running into her eldest sister at the bar and having a somewhat civil conversation. Maybe there was actually a slight chance that things would be okay in the end. Of course, she wasn't going to tell Sev about her mother. She wasn't going to tell anyone about her mother. It wasn't safe. But she needed to talk to someone. Someone that really knew her. So she knocked on the door.
