Can you guess what this is? 😃 This is the vegetarian version of Nasi Lemak, Malaysia's national dish. 😍 I tried the vegetarian Nasi Lemak at Simple Life - Healthy Vegetarian Restaurant one day when I was on my no-meat day and I started to get super hungry while I was still at the mall.⠀ .⠀ I am super happy that I went to this restaurant 😃 and yes I do eat vegetarian dishes but I have never tried vegetarian version of a meat dish. You can take my 10/10 rating for this particular dish at Simple Life before reading further and try their food when you get a chance. Their menu is huge! 😱⠀ .⠀ For ikan balis (anchovies), the substitute was crispy mushrooms AND I LOVED IT ❤️ because after seven years of living in Malaysia, I still haven't developed a taste for sambhal and ikan bilis. Let's talk FOOOOOD, again! 🤣 Today I am featuring 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚'𝐬 [ @trmalaysia ] that has become a favorite spot for me and my family recently. I have been there a few times and they made me fall in love with pineapple salsa. 😍 [me and pineapple in savory items never had any understanding before] 😋 ⠀ - Their 𝐂𝐚𝐣𝐮𝐧 𝐎𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 has been described as 'Oh My God, this is yummy' by my son. 😊 And I am a big fan of 𝐌𝐨𝐣𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 (comes with pineapple salsa). Even the name is goood! ❤️ My husband ordered something from TR's ribs selection but he was way too hungry to let me take a photo. 😁 However, he finished every last particle of that dish. ⠀ - Their full menu is available with descriptions for each dish on their website. You can ask them to change a side according to your preference. I don't like broccoli so I went a little crazy and asked them to change it with mashed potato. No regrets! 😊 ⠀ - They have many locations worldwide so do check them out when you get a chance. Who doesn't like a good and heart warming meal? 😍 The Little Nyonya Cuisine at Setia City Mall is our go-to place to have some local & western dishes for lunch or dinner. My husband loves their Chicken Chop with Black Pepper Sauce more than anything in the entire menu and it is always on point. 😊 I personally like to switch between western and local food so one of my favorites here you see is their Black Pepper Chicken with Butter Rice, the combination is heavenly. 😘 And the Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce is what my son orders sometimes and it is equally good. Onion rings were super fresh and crispy too.⠀ .⠀ This isn't the first time I went to Little Nyonya, and it surely isn't the first and last time that I will be sharing about their yummy dishes. 😂 Do so expect to see more of such posts in future. 😍 ⠀ .⠀ This place is jam packed on special holidays and also at Iftar time in Ramadan because the food is that awesome. The price point for the quality and quantity of the food is also reasonable plus the variety is great.
