Though Edward was an only child, he was never lonely during his childhood. He was a talkative and energetic kid who always grinned like a moron at everything, so he had an easy time making friends. He was the popular kid in their apartment building and knew everybody by name. He also had an abundance of relatives, even going as far as being very close friends with his second cousins. Edward was, in short a social butterfly when he was young.
Unlike her male counterpart, Edie is much more secure in herself. Though she doesn't feel good about herself, she is more to terms with what she is and has accepted her role in the world. She still has bouts of extreme anxiety, but is, unlike Edward, not a person you push around and manipulate for fun. Edie is a lot more easy-going, often making jokes at her own expense, laughs often and even acts a little coy and flirty with people she likes.
Edward has no sense of taste and is a walking biohazard that shouldn't step through the door of the kitchen. If he could, however, he would not cook food you'd like. This comes from Ed-turned-alive after spending a century only being able to smell faintly. Flavors are a new world for him and he doesn't quite have a grasp on what tastes 'good' yet, since all he can taste is 'OH GOD FLAVOR'.
He becomes obsessed with the salty and sweet combination and incorporates it in almost everything he eats. His favorite food in the entire world is pouring chocolate sauce on a hamburger.
You don't want him cooking for you, because he'll assume you like what he likes.
