If she’s being honest, Rowan’s been avoiding Seth. She’d heard about his girlfriend’s sudden departure from town and honestly, she has very little interest in ending in his cross hairs while he works through that. The two can be explosive even on their best days, and with Seth currently nursing a broken heart and her hormones from the fertility treatments.... it’d be lucky they don’t kill each other. But their social circles overlap in an already small town so it isn’t like they can just avoid each other forever. She hadn’t been expecting to see him today, least of all in her backyard, but she figures maybe he’d come looking for Andy and gotten distracted by the zoo that is their home and so she goes out to greet him, maybe a little more cautious than she normally would be. Like he’s a fucking bomb or something; she’s going to breathe too hard near him and he’ll explode. “Would’t get your fingers too close to that one,” she calls, nodding down toward one of the chickens near Seth’s legs. Usually they’re contained to a fenced off section of the yard so that they don’t have to co-exist too much with the dogs but there’s a hole in the fence that still needs fixing. “She’s a fucking bitch. Bit me this morning nearly took a chunk outta my finger.”

Today was a great day! One way or another, she had heard it was a certain someone's birthday on this day. Perhaps she had heard it from that boy she beat up that snuck a peek at her-or maybe the person themselves had let it slipped during idle conversation. Either way, she knew and she wasn't one to do nothing about it. Knocking on their door and zooming right on in, Nora sang as she circled around him in excitement.
