I get asked a lot where I learned the skills of working with my hands and tools. While I’d like to say its a compilation of years of trial and error, sweat and tears, learning and research,... the true credit goes to my Dad. He planted and nurtured the seed early on. My Dad was a “Jack of all trades”, which is funny because his name is Jack. His classic statement when someone asked if he had a part or tool to fix something was, “I’ve got it in stock”. My dad prided himself on a packed, messy, yet organized garage, full of tools and parts to fix or make anything you could think of (twice). So at an early age I fell in love with tools. I learned how to respect and care for them, collect and maintain them. Every Christmas and birthday, tools were always first thing on my list. While having the skill to work with your hands is great having the right tool for the job can set you for success. So with that said, I want to give the credit where credits due. DAD I owe a whole lot of this thing I call talent to you. You set me for success, with the right tools and mindset that I can do anything I put my mind to.
