Dirk and Jake make the genesis frog, Jake calls it their baby

Roxy’s mom dies, she goes grimdark, and is smiling and crying as she does it

Dirk and Roxy join the trolls in the meteor

Jane and Jake travel universes on the golden ship, Jake dates Dirksprite

Jane travels through the dreambubbles and finds the Ring of Life

She later gains the retcon powers

Differences: Is not brainwashed by the Crocker Corp

Differences: Has a good bro taking care of him, also came to terms with his sexuality way earlier

Relationships: BFFs with Jane, looks up to Roxy even though they mostly just tease eachother, his crush on Jake isn’t as strong yet, but it’s very much there

Powers: Always works on a time limit

Can age things and people

Will bring multiple Doomed Dirks to fight when he can

Sprite: GCat + Stuffed Dreamself

Differences: Is not under that many layers of denial and repression

Does not try to live up to a super macho hunter image

Relationships: Close to Roxy, talks a lot with Jane (Not as one sided as the canon ones tho) and has a Crush on Dirk

Rose does the Roxy thing and tries to work a mediator, and represses her emotions on everything

They do Jack shit on their five months playing

June Crocker, Heiress of Life: 

Differences: She starts thinking abt her gender during the 5 months they spend on the dead session

Worships Betty Crocker, but is unsettled by her sometimes

Relationships: Crushes on the Strilondes, BFFs with everyone basically, gave everyone gifts on their 13th bdays just like her canon self, 

Powers: Can like, become a tree and stuff

Rose Lalonde, Seer of Void:

Differences: Still as snarky and stoic as Rose, but this one gives relationship advice!

Relationships: Crushes on Jade, close to Dave and June, but would rather stay by her own

Knows a lot of things, like how they are all related

Particularly close to the Horrorterrors

Powers: Sees into the void, talks to horror terrors

Sees into the Void, by seeing parts of people that they try to hide

Dave Strider Knight of Heart:

Differences: Has been training martial arts for years, except Bro is not physically there, and maybe is not as much of a piece of shit without the possessed Lil Hal

Openly talks about his sexuality with Rose, who has it figured out pretty much

Relationships: Crushes on the Prospitan twins, and is BFFs with Rose

Powers: Protector of the self, whatever the shit that means

Does not want to initiate romantic drama, because he’s a protector of Hearts

Jade English Witch of Hope: 

Differences: Way more Self-centered

Plays around with her Tarot cards more often

Was raised on hell murder island, but holds herself better than Jake

Made her own training partner

Relationships: Crushes on Dave, oblivious on Rose’s feelings, but are still close. Her and June are twinsies

Powers: Creates and controls reality through her Hopes and Fantasies, which can be scary as shit sometimes

i kind of have an idea about guardian-kid dynamics re:sessionswap (basically the beta kids and alpha kids switch sessions -- so Roxy, Jane, Jake and Dirk play sburb beta, meet the trolls, scratch their session etc and Rose, John, Jade and Dave are the alpha players -- but the ectobiology logistics/relationships between the kids stay the same) but... idk if it’ll be ooc?

i mean, i really like the idea of Roxy’s Mom as someone brilliant in her career and cares a great deal about her daughter, but is also quite pretentious (like, she doesn’t drink, but there’s still a cellar full of alcohol in the house), has high standards, never lets anything be straightforward, and occasionally driven by the need to prove that she is smarter/better than the other people in the room, even if the only other person in the room is her daughter. Roxy’s conflict with her mom is fueled by her perception that she’s a “disappointment”, and sadly Mom doesn’t really... try to demonstrate that she doesn’t see Roxy as a disappointment

okay so the conflict between dirk and dirkspirte/hal def has to do with their bro’s murder by noir, as is the fact that only one of them was with bro when he was killed and kept quiet about it, leaving the other to find out for themselves. both dirk and hal subconsciously think hal is more capable, due to having more knowledge of the game/better reaction times and multitasking capabilities etc. if bro was with dirk then both hal and dirk believe that hal could’ve prevented this with his superior capabilities (bro would still be So Totally Dead even if hal was the one who fought alongside him, but they don’t know that), and if it was hal who was with bro when he was killed then dirk (and hal) blames hal because he ‘should have’ prevented it. taking out self-loathing externally on a copy of yourself, wonderful

(I mean, there’s also the fact that Dirk would probably not accept her help with as much good cheer as John, and I think Dirk would get a little concerned/offended if she at any point suggested that they’re at all similar, even though they kinda are.)

ALSO holy shit, but having Godtier Jane on the meteor could change so much? Like... she could revive the dead, including the mayor and dead trolls, which would make interpersonal relationships on the meteor even more complicated -- what will people do with Eridan, who attempted to murder three people and succeeded in 1.5 cases? Vriska’s murder of Tavros might also further agitate Gamzee, not to mention how Nepeta and Equius would act around Gamzee (and his protectors, because you betcha Nepeta would want him gone for good)...

I wanted to keep the death theme of a void session, but idk if their session should actually be a void session? because i have no idea if the Forge would work in those conditions, and it’s also a little unreasonable for Jake and Roxy to bring their session’s planets in addition to their Battlefield since they don’t have Space powers at their disposal and must rely on Liv/Terry Kaiser/Uber Bunny’s infinitesimalator and monstrositifier.

roxy is vital to the scratch (and navigating the furthest ring), jake is also vital for the scratch, jane can raise the dead and heal, and dirk...

Given the alpha kids have no Time player, i think the most plausible way for them to initiate the scratch is if Roxy and Jake combined their powers to either 1) conjure a Beat Mesa or 2) yoink Dave’s across sessions. For this reason I think it would make more sense if Roxy and Jake escaped their session via fenestrated planes + airship (or whatever), while Dirk and Jane dealt with the Green Sun problem (eventually leaving on a meteor). Of course, Jane will need to have reached godtier before joining Dirk, because she wouldn’t have access to her crypt, and Roxy will have to ascend via quest bed + dreamself instead. 

Dirk and his Bro probably has a somewhat distant relationship -- Bro is busy working as a freelance photographer/filmmaker/DJ etc, hoping to catch a big break. He feels bad for leaving his lil’ bro alone and tries to make up for it (hence a lifetime supply of soda in the crawlspace), but Dirk is a moody 13 year old so their conversations are kind of stilted. Dirk also struggles more with his sexuality, primarily because he actually lives in a culture where being gay is a thing and carries social context. He’s excruciatingly aware of his orientation, but absorbed a lot of toxic bullshit through mass media. It plays into his drive to be ‘the best’ and ‘the toughest’ in a subconscious attempt to distance himself from stereotypes he sees. He also somewhat internalized the idea that happiness is unattainable for him (especially since queer people routinely get shafted in mainstream entertainment).
