ok so today i was out passing out flyers for my project that helps Neurodivergent kids and there are quite a few houses in my neighborhood that have pride flags in front.
naturally i was thinking something like
"lgbtq people tend to be on the left. these kinds of people also tend to be very neurodivergent friendly!"
however this led to me overenthusiastically reacting to the rainbow flags anytime me and my sister saw a house with one and it looked something like this

Okay so basically the idea of it is that I'm writing a short book/guide/thing for my school library about how to get started writing novels or other long-form fiction, right. Topics like how to make the process less daunting, how to find a place in the writing community where you can talk to other writers, where to find good writing advice/what to listen to and what not to listen to/when certain writing advice is useful, that kind of thing.
What I wished I knew when I was a baby writer tm and didn't yet have connections to other writers, or even a great sense of what questions to ask.
When it is completed, a free PDF will be available for general readership
So what kind of help is most needed?
PLEASE REBLOG THIS AND SPREAD THIS AROUND
But mainly, I wanna hear what pieces of advice you would give your past self when you were first getting started? What pieces of knowledge could have made a noticeable difference in how you approached the journey? If you started writing already surrounded by writer friends, what were some things they told you that you think were instrumental in how you're doing now? If you didn't start in a writing community but feel pretty connected now, how did you get there? What was your path?
Below is a handy-dandy google form below to write in responses (including an opportunity to boost your current wips!)
So, uh, the idea of this whole thing is that I'm writing a guide of sorts for aspiring writers that might give them some of the direction I
This years knitting goal is making (minimum) 100 hats by October! Here are all the hats I have made so far!
This October will be the 10 year anniversary of my Bat Mitzvah. To commemorate this, I am revisiting my service project--knitting 100 baby hats for my community. My goal is 100 adult hats, but I am hoping to be able to make more! Now that we are all quarantined at home, it'll be much easier to focus my time on this project.
I don't want to blow up y'all's feed everytime I finish a hat, so I think I'll just make a post like this every now and then to show you guys my progress!
Hey y’all! So I’ve recently begun a service project for one of my classes at school to create and ship care packages to U.S. military soldiers who are serving overseas. I’ve started a gofundme to collect any donations y’all may be willing to offer and I’ll use the funds to purchase supplies like socks, games, snacks and hygiene products to pack into the boxes. It would mean so much for any amount you could spare and I’ll keep my progress posted as I go along. I’m really hoping to get up to at least $100-$500 USD before May 20th so any support y’all can give either by reblogging and spreading the word or just giving to the cause would mean so much to me. Thank you guys so much for your help!
