Work in progress shot of server V2. Finally moving into a 12u rack. I've had to pull the pdus onboard (bottom) and I picked up a 4-bay NAS (first layer). This gives me about 4u of decently unallocated space (currently taken up by just a status monitor lol) that I can do kinda whatever I want with. I know I need to slot an SBC to control the statmon--the pi 3B+ and newer all have onboard PoE and I've got a spare PoE slot. It would reduce my cord overhead, I suppose.

New rack. Not really any insights into racks tbh. I feel like it's like computer building on hard mode. At least with computers, X goes in the X slot. Here, there's just rack pins and Ethernet, and if you do it too wrong the network fails.
I'm anticipating some more parts coming in over the next few weeks, hence the ~8u of empty space.
