For once, it was a quiet day. Lyndis’ legion had set up camp in a forest, and had not encountered any bandits on the way. The place was safe, apparently, which allowed every soldier to be able to relax. But Kent wasn’t one to relax. If he had any free time, he used it for the camp. There was a town, nearby; and Mark the tactician had ordered Kent to buy some supplies for the battle to come.
The bags that his mare carried would be enough for Kent not to need anyone to accompany him. However, before leaving, he made sure to ask his friends if they needed anything in particular. “Miss Serra?” Kent said a few moments later, outside a tent. “I have heard that you needed new ribbons for your hair, is that true?” He asked. Usually, he would avoid talking to Serra because he had no time to lose. Not that Kent was mean or disliked her, but seeing the way Serra treated Erk, he would rather avoid her. But it wouldn’t be fair if he didn’t ask her if she needed anything as well. So the Caelian waited outside her tent, hoping that she wouldn’t ask too much of him.
