the cauldron explodes in his face,    because harry’s life is a tragedy rewritten into a comedy,    and things must always go horribly wrong in both...     one moment,    he’s peering into the purple potion.     the next moment,     his face is utterly covered in black soot.    he wipes his fingers through the horrible muck,    nose turned up   [he’s smart enough to not get any in his mouth and he wipes around his eyes after a blink or two,    hoping that he didn’t go blind over some stupid project].      OF COURSE THE POTION HAD EXPLODED.      too much of this,   too little of that,    some misplaced frog legs:     a recipe for disaster,   quite literally.      he drops back into his seat,     turning his soot - covered face towards lyra.      ‘      and you didn’t think to stop me?     even once?      ’        @serpentie​

          𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐒 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 ‘𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐄  on the opposing side of harry⸺often times, to herself, did the malfoy’s really align themselves with voldemort’s ideals or was it simply out of fear?  everyone had so feared the dark lord sine before he’d arrived in the flesh, so it’s easy to assume that it’s only worsened since then !    the only person she could see really aligning themselves was lucius . . draco only did what his father told him, narcissa only wanted to   𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓬𝓽    her family.     (   this could come back to haunt them, haunt her family if harry were to loose this battle !   it’s what she feared most,  it’s what she tried to avoid.   only whispers && speculation had arisen in her several weeks long absence,  no one truly knew where she’d gone.   from what the prophet had said,  her mother had passed it on as a side effect of her sickness.   )     ;      bellatrix sneers at the four of them, wand at the ready to torment or wound any of them if she were feeling only generous.   the potion given to harry is steadily wearing off && astoria feels her stomach drop with each passing moment.    a shaky breath is taken in, eyes glancing toward draco && lyra as tired eyes silently say:    ‘ i’m sorry.  please,  𝙵𝙾𝚁𝙶𝙸𝚅𝙴 𝙼𝙴 .  ‘   / @serpentie​   gets a starter from astoria greengrass !
