    𝓳𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓭  𝓶𝓪𝓭𝓮  𝓱𝓮𝓻  𝓯𝓮𝓮𝓵  𝓵𝓲𝓴𝓮  𝓼𝓱𝓮  𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓭  𝓭𝓸  𝓪𝓷𝔂𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰,   he  had  opened  her  eyes  to  so  much  and  showed  her  different  sides  of  the  world  that  she  never  would've  seen  if  she  had  stayed  sat  in  her  perfect  pink  room  of  her  boring  northsider  life.   she  could've  just  stayed  in  the  lane  that  everyone  had  expected  her  to  stay  in,  to  do    𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰   that  everyone  had  expected  of  her.   but  she  knew  she  was  capable  of  so  much  more.   he  made  her  see  that  and  she  was   𝓲𝓷  𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮   with  that  feeling,  she  was  so  in  love  with  him  that  she  knew  she  would  do  anything  she  had  to  to  keep  him  safe.   even  if  he  didn't  need  her  help,  she  knew  what  she  was  getting  involved  with  when  her  and  jughead  started  seeing  one  another.   but  betty  knew  she  couldn't  just  sit  around  anymore.   she  couldn't  just  stay  sitting  and  waiting  for  him  to  come  back,  to  just  be  there  to  patch  him  up  and  kiss  him  better.   not  anymore.   she  wasn't  just  betty  cooper  from  the  northside  of  riverdale,  she  was  girlfriend  of  the  serpent  king  and  she  refused  to  just  sit  around  anymore.

    𝓼𝓱𝓮  𝓱𝓾𝓶𝓼  𝓼𝓸𝓯𝓽𝓵𝔂  𝓪𝓽  𝓽𝓱𝓮  𝓴𝓲𝓼𝓼,   a  little  taken  back  and  allows  him  to  pull  her  in,  arms  wrapping  around  his  waist  as  she  leans  into  him.   she  really  hoped  this  wasn't  him  attempting  to  change  the  subject,  kisses  to  distract  her  from  what  could  possibly  be  a  vulnerable  moment.   she  never  asked  him  for  anything.   she  never  asked  for  more  emotional  vulernability  from  him,  she  never  asked  him  to  be  out  of  his  own  comfort  zone,  she  took  the  small  moments  because  she  knew  it  was    𝓷𝓸𝓽  𝓮𝓪𝓼𝔂   for  him.   but  that  didn't  mean  she  needed  to  be  constantly  distracted  by  endless  kisses  and  touches  that  made  her  skin  feel  like  it  was  on  fire.

    𝓫𝓾𝓽  𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓷  𝓱𝓮  𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓼  𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰  𝓪𝓷𝓭  𝓼𝓱𝓮'𝓼  𝓳𝓾𝓼𝓽  𝓬𝓪𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽  𝓾𝓹  𝓲𝓷  𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂  𝔀𝓸𝓻𝓭,   at  first  she  thought  he  was  just  being  cocky,  despite  his  claims  of  not  being  so,  and  she  almost  wanted  to  pull  away.   he  called  himself  the    𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓹𝓮𝓻  𝓸𝓯  𝓻𝓲𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓭𝓪𝓵𝓮   and  yet  she  didn't  see  that.   oh,  she  was  aware  of  how  dangerous  he  was,  she  knew  what  he  was  capable  of  and  yet  she  saw  sides  of  him  that  she  doubted  he  had  ever  let    𝓪𝓷𝔂𝓸𝓷𝓮   see  before.   yet  when  he  said  that  he  was  living  for  her,  she  couldn't  help  but  look  up  at  him  with  shining  green  eyes,  flicking  over  his  face  as  she  tries  to  make  sense  of  it.   this  was  him  being    𝓿𝓾𝓵𝓮𝓻𝓷𝓪𝓫𝓵𝓮   ,  opening  up  in  a  way  that  he  never  had  before  and  it  made  her  heart  race  a  little.   teeth  pull  at  her  bottom  lip  as  she  listens  and  she  can't  help  but  smile  softly  because  whilst  she  heard  everything,  she  couldn't  help  but  focus  on  three  words,   "   hang  on,  did  you  just  say  that  you  love  me?    "

    𝓼𝓱𝓮  𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓭𝓷'𝓽  𝓭𝓮𝓷𝔂  𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓽  𝓼𝓱𝓮  𝓶𝓪𝔂  𝓫𝓮  𝓯𝓸𝓬𝓾𝓼𝓲𝓷𝓰  𝓸𝓷  𝓽𝓱𝓮  𝔀𝓻𝓸𝓷𝓰  𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰,   that  his  words  made  her  heart  race  and  she  wanted  nothing  more  than  to  just  lean  into  him,  to  tell  him  that  she  loves  him  too,  to  really  show  him  that  she  loves  him  and  help  him  forget  all  about  what  was  going  on  outside  of  her  bedroom.   betty  smiles,  leaning  up  on  her  toes  to  press  a  kiss  to  his  lips,  leaning  her  forehead  against  his,   "   i  love  you   .   .   .   so  much,  jughead.   you  have  no  idea,    "   she  admits,  nose  brushing  against  his  before  sighing  softly  at  the  sound  of  his  phone  ringing  again.   for  a  brief  moment  she  contemplated  grabbing  it  and  throwing  it  out  the  window.   she  wanted  him  to  herself,  was  that  too  much  to  ask?   the  serpents  got  him  most  of  the  time,  she  just  wanted  him  for  tonight.   except  the  moment  she  saw  sweet  pea's  name  on  his  phone,  she  knew  that  he  was  going  to  have  to  leave.

    𝗶𝘁  𝗵𝗮𝗱  𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻  𝗵𝗲𝗿  𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮  𝘁𝗼  𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲  𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸  𝘁𝗼  𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲,   something  that  she  was  surprised  lawrence  agreed  to,  but  since  he  could  work  from  their  home  and  she  had  managed  to  somehow  convince  him  that  it  was  his  idea  over  hers,  they  were  back  in  a  place  where  she  felt  safe.   or  at  least,  safer.   she  was  no  longer  isolated  and  alone  like  she  had  been  in  miami.   betty  was  home,  back  in  riverdale,  with  archie  and  veronica  looking  out  for  her,  her  mom  even  seemed  worried.   but  there  was  someone  else,  someone  she  hadn't  stopped  thinking  about  the  moment  she  left  riverdale  and  betty  couldn't  help  but  wonder  what  jughead  jones  had  been  up  to  all  this  time.   what  must  he  think  of?   he  never  came  to  say  goodbye  even  though  she  had  practically    𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗱   him  to,  something  she  had  refused  to  do  for  so  long  because  she  always  wondered  how    𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸   he  must  see  her  at  times,  how  she  would  never  be  strong  enough  to  really  be  someone  he  could  be.   maybe  that  was  why  he  hadn't  come.   despite  everything  he  had  said  to  her  in  those  precious  moments,  jughead  saw    𝗻𝗼  𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲   with  her  and  he  wasn't  willing  to  fight  for  her  at  all.   that  didn't  mean  she  had  stopped  thinking  about  him.

    𝗮𝗹𝗹  𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲  𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀  𝗵𝗲  𝗵𝗮𝗱  𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻  𝗼𝗻  𝗵𝗲𝗿  𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱,   he  was  embedded  in  her  very  soul  and  no  matter  what  she  did  to  try  and  forget  him,  she  just  couldn't.   jughead  jones  was  the    𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁  𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲   of  her  life  and  it  broke  her  heart  that  he  never  came,  that  he  ran  from  what  they  had  and  she  had  no  choice  but  to  move  on  with  her  life.   she  tried  to  be  happy.   she  tried  to  find  a  way  to  live  a  life  that  felt  fulfilling.   but  things  got   𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱   in  a  way  that  she  had  never  expected,  she  fell  in  love  again,  it  wasn't  really  like  what  she  had  with  jughead,  but  it  had  been  fun,  exciting  and  full  of  hope   .   .   .   at  least  when  it  first  started.   now  it  was  dark  and  controlling,  full  of  pain  and  she  felt  like  she  had  no  escape.   but  at  least  being  home  in  riverdale,  she  felt  like  she  maybe  had  a    𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲   to  get  out,  with  people  around  her  who  cared  and  might  see  that  lawrence  was  not  the  person  that  he  was    𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴   to  be  to  everyone  else.   she  knew  veronica  didn't  trust  him,  archie  was  starting  to  question  him,  her  mom  was suspicious  but  nothing  major.   no  one  could  see  the  truth.   betty  would  figure  it  out,  she  would  find  a  way  out,  but  ever  since  coming  back  to  riverdale,  she  couldn't  deny  how  much  she  had  been  thinking  about  jughead.   or  from  what  she  had  been  told  was  still  the    𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁  𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴   and  he  had  more  power  than  ever,  something  she  was  sure  that  never  really  made  him  happy.   she  really  didn't  know  what  to  expect  when  she  ran  into  toni  topaz  at  pop's,  asking  her  to  ask  jughead  to  meet  her  at    𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿  𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁,   knowing  he  would  know  exactly  where.   even  after  all  these  years.

    𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆  𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳  𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱  𝗵𝗶𝗺  𝗻𝗼𝘁  𝘁𝗼  𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄  𝘂𝗽,   especially  since  he  never  did  all  those  years  ago  before  she  had  been  sent  out  of  riverdale.   she  paced  nervously  back  and  forth,  unable  to  sit  still  in  the  secluded  spot  that  they  had  used  to  find  comfort  in.   she  had  never  forgotten  how    𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹   it  was  here.   she  finds  herself  twisting  her  wedding  ring  on  her  left  finger,  wishing  more  than  anything  that  she  could  toss  it  into  the  river.   but  instead  she  waited  and  hoped  that  he  would  show.   she  couldn't  deny  the  way  her  heart  skipped  a beat  when  she  saw  him  again.   he  was  so  handsome,  he  always  had  been  but  as  he  had  gotten  older,  he  was  more  refined  and  she  couldn't  stop  looking  at  him.   he  was  truly  so  beautiful  to  her  and  it  broke  her  heart  how  much  she  had  missed.   neither  of  them  really  said  anything  for  a  while,  they  just  seemed  to  look  at  each  other,  until  she  finally  spoke,   "   i  miss  you,    "   she  admits  softly,  surprising  herself  that  was  the  first  thing  she  said  to  him,   "   but  i  can't  stay,    "   betty  knew  she  had  already  been  gone  too  long,  her  excuse  to  lawrence  would  only  buy  her  so  much  time  and  it  wouldn't  be  long  before  he  was  blowing  up  her  phone,    𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴   to  know  where  she  is  and  when  she  will  be  home.

    𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻  𝗷𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱  𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱  𝘁𝗼  𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲,   it  broke  her  heart,  he  was  just  going  to  run  again  and  leave  her  alone.   green  eyes  close  for  a  moment  and  she  shakes  her  head,  knowing  that  there  was  very  little  she  could  say  to  make  him  stay.   but  then  he  turned  back  and  started  saying  more  than  she  ever  expected  him  to  say,  confessions  of  love,  hope  and  missing  her  that    𝘀𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱   her  heart  into  a  thousand  pieces.   betty  had  dreamt  about  hearing  him  say  things  like  this,  longed  for  it  in  a  way  that  she  had  never  expected  and  she  thought  was    𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲   to  ever  hear  because  why  would  he  feel  all  of  this  and  yet  he  never  showed  up?   jughead  jones  broke  her  heart  that  night,  in  a  way  that  she  never  expected  him  to.   she  thought  he  would  show  up,  she  waited  there  all  night,  with  nothing  but  a  backpack  full  of  clothes  and  essentials,  hoping  that  he  would  come  and  they  could    𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆   together.   then  he  never  showed,  thinking  it  was  a  goodbye  and  she  had  to  go  back  home  to  be  sent  away.   which  her  mom  still  insists  was  a  good  idea,  but  this  wasn't  about  that.

    𝗵𝗲  𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀  𝘁𝗵𝗲  𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲  𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻  𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺,   standing  directly  in  front  of  her,  emerald  eyes  meeting  his  sapphire  ones   and  she  already  knew  a  tear  was  escaping  slowly  down  her  cheek.   eyes  close  briefly  for  a  moment  when  he  cups  her  face,  his  touch  completely  intoxicating  to  her  and  she  felt  like  she  had  missed  him  more  than  ever,  his  touch  making  her  feel  more    𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲   than  she  had  in  years.   she  was  his  home,  he  was  her  heart  and  she  had  been  empty  for  so  long.   her  hands  come  up  to  grip  his  serpent  jacket,  the  familiar  leather  in  her  grasp  as  she  looks  up  at  him,   "   why  didn't  you  come  that  night  then?   when  i  asked  you  to  meet  me  here?    "   betty  couldn't  help  but  ask,  her  eyes  wide  as  she  looked  up  at  him,  feeling  a  little  broken  but  determined  to  finally  get  the  answers  that  she  never  thought  she  would,   "   i  wasn't  meeting  you  to  say  goodbye.   i  wanted  you  to  run  away  with  me   .   .   .   but  you  never  came,    "   betty  admits,  the  heartbreak  obvious  in  her  voice  and  she  wanted  nothing  more  than  to  just  lean  in  against  him  and  let  him  hold  her.

    𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆  𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁  𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆  𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄  𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲  𝘀𝗵𝗲  𝗳𝗶𝘁  𝗶𝗻  𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲,   the  war  that  had  gotten  so  far  out  of  control  had  completely  gotten  out  of  hand  and  the  result  of  it  had  left  a  lot  of  unanswered  questions,  a  lot  of  mistrust  and  it  seemed  neither  side  was  fully  happy.   so  it  must  be  a  good  thing,  right?   she  had  always  been  used  to  people  not  trusting  her,  even  amongst  the  saviors  there  had  always  been  a  distance  between  herself  and  the  others  due  to  her  connection  to  negan.   here  in  alexandria?   she  considered  it  a  good  day  if  one  of  the  alexandrians  would  look  her  in  the  eye  when  speaking  to  her.   she  understood  it  would  take  time,  but  it  was  more  than  that  and  she  doubted  even  with  time,  even  if  she  fought  alongside  them  to  protect  what  they  had  here,  it  was  possible  they  would    𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿   trust  her.   well,  not  everyone.   there  was  one  person  at  alexandria  who  already  trusted  her  and  she  wasn't  even  sure  what  she  had  done  to  earn  his  trust.

    𝗷𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱  𝗷𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀  𝘄𝗮𝘀  𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲  𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲  𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲  𝘀𝗵𝗲  𝗵𝗮𝗱  𝗺𝗲𝘁,   he  made  her  smile  and  laugh  in  a  way  that  no  one  else  ever  really  had,  made  her  blush  in  a  way  that  made  her  feel  like  she  was  just  some  silly  lovestruck  girl  in  the  books  she  had  read,  he  wanted  to  know  who  she  really  was  and  never  judged  her  for  the  fact  that  she  had  been  a  savior.   she  didn't  know  what  to  think  of  it,  all  she  knew  that  she  couldn't  imagine  her  life    𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁   him  and  she  was  glad  to  have  a  chance  to  be  with  him properly.   but  that  didn't  mean  things  were  suddenly  easy.   being  in  alexandria  with  jughead  was  a  struggle  and  she  couldn't  help  but  think  that  she  was  making  his  life  harder,  she  found  herself    𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴   not  running  away  with  him  when  he  had  offered.   but  there  was  no  way  she  would  run  now,  not  whilst  negan  was  locked  away  in  alexandria.

    𝗶𝘁  𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁  𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲  𝗶𝘁  𝘀𝗼  𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵  𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲  𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁  𝘀𝗵𝗲  𝘄𝗮𝘀  𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴  𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁  𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺  𝗵𝗶𝗺,   that  no  matter  how  much  she  asked  nicely  and  seemed  to  show  that  she  was  at  least  trying  to  be  a  part  of  alexandria,  as  well  as  getting  the  other  saviors  to  play  nice,  she  was  still  being   𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱   access  to  negan.   rick  kept  promising  that  it  wasn't  a  punishment  for  her,  but  despite  his  promises,  she  couldn't  help  but  feel  a  resentment  growing  towards  the  alexandria  leader.   no  one  had  ever  really  understood  the    𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱   between  her  and  negan,  she  didn't  care  to  really  explain  it  to  anyone,  but  she  wished  she  could  because  if  rick  understood,  maybe  she  would  be  allowed  to  see  him.   however,  she  wasn't  going  to  beg  or  grovel  to  the  likes  of  rick  grimes  and  her  own  stubbornness  would  be  the  thing  getting  in  her  way,  which  just  led  to  more  hurt  and  anger  that  she  didn't  know  what  to  do  with.   she  found  herself  withdrawing,  not  really  sure  on  what  to  do  and  feeling    𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁   for  the  first  time  in  so  many  years.   nothing  she  could  do  was  helping  and  she  felt  more  defeated  than  ever.

    𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢  𝐰𝐚𝐬  𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲  𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞  𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭  𝐬𝐡𝐞  𝐰𝐚𝐬  𝐢𝐧  𝐚  𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞  𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.   to  be  one  of  the  few  people  that  jughead  jones,  their  mighty  and  dangerous  serpent  prince,  trusted  and  could  actually  speak  freely  to  him.   she  didn't  take  that  trust  for  granted  and  never  used  anything  to  her  advantage  because  she  always  wanted  to    𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧   someone  that  jughead  could  turn  to,  no  matter  what  happened.   majority  of  the  time  when  she  spoke  up  about  something  that  was  bothering  her,  it  was  mainly  out  of    𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧   for  her  friend.   but  even  she  knew  that  this  concern  was  likely  to  cause  a  fight  because  who  was  she  to  speak  up  about  someone  that  he  was  interested  in?   except  it  wasn't  like  it  was  some  girl  from  the  southside  that  had  caught  his  attention.   fuck  no.   jughead  jones,  future  serpent  king,  had  to  go  and  fall    𝐢𝐧  𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞   with  a  northsider.   not  just  any  northsider  either,  he  was  falling  for  betty  cooper.

    𝐡𝐞  𝐡𝐚𝐝  𝐭𝐨  𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰  𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭  𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬  𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝  𝐞𝐧𝐝  𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲.   there  was  no  way  that  the  two  of  them  could  last  long  term,  once  her  parents  found  out  about  who  she  was  spending  her  time  with,  they  would  put  a  stop  to  it  and  he  would  go  back  to  doing  whatever  it  was  he  did  before  whilst  she  would  date  someone  her  parents  deemed  appropriate.   toni  wasn't  about  to  burst  his  bubble,  it  was  clear  to  her  that  her    𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭  𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝   was  happy  for  once  and  her  pointing  this  out  only  came  out  of  concern.   she  would  do  anything  not  to  see  him  hurt,  both  physically  and  emotionally.   there  was  only  likely  to  be    𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧   at  the  end  of  this  relationship,  even  if  he  didn't  want  to  admit  it.   betty  cooper  would  never  fit  in  with  his  world,  just  like  he  would  never  fit  in  with  hers.

    𝓱𝓸𝔀  𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓭  𝓪  𝓼𝓲𝓶𝓹𝓵𝓮  𝓺𝓾𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷  𝓫𝓮  𝓼𝓸  𝓵𝓸𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓭?   betty  knew  that  it  wasn't  just  a  simple  yes  or  no  question,  trust  was  extremely  different  with  someone  like  jughead.   it  was  strange  to  think  a  few  months  ago,  she  would've  done  anything  to  avoid  his  gaze  if  she  had  seen  him  at  pops  or  passed  him  in  the  hallway  at  school.   but  he  didn't  just  notice  her  as  she  walked  by,  he    𝓼𝓪𝔀   her  and  that  made  her  feel  so  powerful  in  a  way  she  could  not  describe.   that  someone  as  dangerous  and  alluring  as  jughead  hones  wanted  her  and  saw  her  for  who  she  really  is  when  no  one  else  did.   she  had    𝓪𝓫𝓼𝓸𝓵𝓾𝓽𝓮  𝓽𝓻𝓾𝓼𝓽   in  him  that  would  always  be  the  case.   but  it  was  more  than  that,  she  trusted  that  he  was  always  honest  with  her,  that  she  didn't  have  to  push  for  him  to  tell  her  things  because  he  would  eventually  open  up  to  her.   it  was  somewhat  obvious  to  her  that  he    𝓽𝓻𝓾𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓭   her  on  some  level  and  she  knew  he  didn't  hand  his  trust  out  easily  to  just  anyone.   betty  trusted  that  he  would  do  whatever  he  could  to  keep  her  safe.   she  knew  she  trusted  him    𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱𝓸𝓾𝓽  𝓪  𝓭𝓸𝓾𝓫𝓽,   but  then  why  did  a  simpel  yes  not  feel  like  enough?   

    𝔀𝓱𝔂  𝔀𝓪𝓼  𝓱𝓮  𝓪𝓼𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰?   did  he  not  trust  her  like  she  thought  he  did?   was  this  his  way  of  trying  to  figure  out  if  she  was  just  as    𝓷𝓪𝓲𝓿𝓮   as  everyone  said  she  was?​​​​​​​   did  he  really  just  see  her  as  the  silly  girl  next  door  who  just  is  caught  up  in  her  feelings?​​​​​​​   there  was  no  way  he  did.​​​​​​​   that  wasn't  why  he  was  asking.​​​​​​​   this  wasn't  about  doubt.​​​​​​​   this  was  for​​​​​​​    𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓼𝓾𝓻𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮.​​​​​​​   no  one  trusted  a  serpent,  especially  not  a  serpent  prince  like  jughead  jones.​​​​​​​   yes,  the  other  serpents  probably  trusted  him,  but  no  one  else  felt  like  they  had  to.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​   betty,  on  the  other  hand,  was  no  serpent  and  she  had  a​​​​​​​    𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓲𝓬𝓮​​​​​​​   to  run  in  the  other  direction.​​​​​​​   except  she  didn't.​​​​​​​   she  didn't  run  the  first  time  he  approached  her  at  that  party  and  she  was  not  running  now.​​​​​​​   if  anything,  him  asking  her  just  made  her  heart  race  a  little  more  and  she  knew  she  was  just  falling  for  the  serpent  prince  just  that  little  bit  more.

"Fuck.." Wrists jerked violently against the tethers that restrained them above her head, painted toes curling against the violet sheets underneath her. Crimson-stained lips part to allow musical moans to fill their passionate tomb. Such a simple request, yet it sets her entire frame ablaze. Chills dance along her tormented flesh, nipples budding in approval against his fierce touch.

    𝖇𝖊𝖙𝖙𝖞  𝖜𝖆𝖘  𝖜𝖊𝖑𝖑  𝖆𝖜𝖆𝖗𝖊  𝖔𝖋  𝖙𝖍𝖊  𝖎𝖒𝖕𝖆𝖈𝖙  𝖘𝖍𝖊  𝖍𝖆𝖉  𝖔𝖓  𝖕𝖊𝖔𝖕𝖑𝖊.   beautiful  and  deadly  all  in  one,  with  a  smart  mouth  and  a  quicker  wit,  she  was  someone  that  most  poeple  couldn't    𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖌𝖊𝖙   even  if  they  tried.   she  was  so  much  more  than  she  appeared,  smart  and  fearless,  sexually  free  without  a  care  in  the  world  of  what  anyone  thought  of  her.   the  snickers  and  the  bitchy  gossip  of  the  boring  riverside  girls  meant  zero  to  her,  in  fact  it  was    𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖙𝖆𝖎𝖓𝖎𝖓𝖌   how  bothered  by  her  they  were  when  she  didn't  give  any  of  them  so  much  of  a  second  glance.   as  well  as  ignoring  the  high  misogynistic  and  borderlining  sexual  harrassement  comments  of  the  northsider  boys,  who  she  knew  would  quickly  change  thier  mind  if  she  gave  them  so  much  as  a  smile.   but  jughead  jones?    the  only  northsider  boy  that  had  really  managed  to  catch  her  attention.    he  was    𝖉𝖎𝖋𝖋𝖊𝖗𝖊𝖓𝖙   than  all  the  rest.

    𝖘𝖍𝖊  𝖈𝖔𝖚𝖑𝖉𝖓'𝖙  𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖓  𝖇𝖊𝖌𝖎𝖓  𝖙𝖔  𝖊𝖝𝖕𝖑𝖆𝖎𝖓  𝖎𝖙,   he  had  such  an  impact  on  her  because  no  one  else  ever  really  did.   sure,  she  had  slept  with  plenty  of  people,  girls  and  boys,  she  didn't  mind,  but  she  never  got    𝖆𝖙𝖙𝖆𝖈𝖍𝖊𝖉   to  any  of  them.   it  was  all  about  the  pleasure  and  not  about  emotions.   what  may  have  just  started  out  as  a  game  in  her  mind,  to  try  and  get  the  sheriff's  son  in  her  bed  had  become  so much    𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖊   than  she  ever  could  have  expected.   jughead  was  funny  and  charming,  sweet  and  thoughtful,  loyal  and  smart.   he  was  the  kind  of  boy  who  could  get  any  girl  he  wanted  and  yet  he  would  always  come  and  find  her.   he  was  the  kind  of  boy  that  made  her  believe  in  fairytales  and  the  idea  of    𝖑𝖔𝖛𝖊   that  she  had  thought  she  stopped  dreaming  about  back  when  she  was  a  kid.   jughead  definitely  kept  her  on  her  toes  and  she  had  no  idea  what  he  was  likely  to  say  or  do  next.    most  of  which  if  it  had  been  anyone  else,  she  would've    𝖈𝖗𝖚𝖘𝖍𝖊𝖉   them  beneath  the  heel  of  her  boot.   but  when  it  was  him,  betty  found  herself  smiling,  feeling  a  blush  raise  on  her  cheeks  and  it  just  made  her  heart  beat  a  little  faster.   who  would've  guessed  that  the  sheriff's  son  would  be  the  serpent  princess'  one  weakness?
