Todoroki's with his University football team when he meets Sero for the first time and it's messing him up both on and off the field.

the level of everyday’s most quiet need (2,442w)

"Hanta turns his head and presses his lips to Todoroki’s wrist. He holds his eyes, watches the way the other boy flushes even more and drops eye contact to stare at Hanta’s mouth. The way Todoroki looks at him is intoxicating and endearing all at once."

Sero and Todoroki learn intimacy in their new relationship, slowly and softly, like a cool touch on a tender bruise.

Inspired by Slumber's work "a comma in the middle of a phrase".

"The memory of Hanta’s limp body is too fresh. Shouto wants to feel the line of him, alive and warm, and hold on till dawn. He wraps himself around Hanta again and presses as close as he can, his heart a reassuring pattern under Shouto’s arm. Despite this, he does not sleep again."

Shouto struggles with his overwhelming emotions after Hanta is injured. He doesn't do well with being powerless.

One way or another, Hanta finds himself being drawn back to Todoroki again and again. The boys learn to lean on each other.

"Hanta gives himself five seconds to fully experience whatever warm emotion is swelling in his chest. It expands like hot air, pressing on his aching ribs and crawling up his throat; it worms between his heart and lungs and curls up like a contented cat. Hanta isn’t sure how he knows, but he’s sure the feeling’s name is Todoroki."

Post-apocalyptic Japan is pretty different from pre-apocalyptic Japan, but for Shouto, life goes on much the same way: he tries to steer clear of his overbearing, violent, douchebag dad; he looks for any hints as to where his older brother, Touya, disappeared to; he reads shitty romance novels and pretends depression hasn't ruined his life. When he gets kicked out of the community his father built, though, his entire life changes.

For the first time in his life, Shouto doesn't have his father breathing down his neck; but he might not live long enough to enjoy it. The wasteland outside of the community is dangerous and wild. Unsure of what to do, he finds himself traveling with a cheerful stranger named Hanta, who is returning to his own family of sorts. The two must learn to trust each other and fight to protect one another from the perils of the wasteland.

If Shouto's lucky, he'll find a real family of his own.

So my Co-Mod and I usually make the big announcement around August, but we can tell you that the next Seroroki Week will most likely be from December 8th-15th 2023.
