“BOOM  !”  he  says  as  he  slams  his  chip  down  before  throwing  his  arms  in  the  air.  “another  checkmate  from  major  powell.”  he'd  never  had  an  issue  with  confidence,  that  much  was  clear.  still,  he  feels  something  isn't  quite  right.  he  leans  in  an  inch  before  asking  “i  am  the  red  one,  aren't  i  ?”

he  places  a  box  of  takeout  on  the  counter  just  in  time  for  the  other  to  make  her  presence  known.  “got  you  this,”  he  tells  her,  scooting  the  box  in  her  direction.  “salmon,  BAKED.  i  know  you're  above  fried  food,”  he  jokes.  atlas  wasn't  actually  sure  she'd  like  the  meal  he'd  grabbed,  but  salmon  seemed  like  the  safest  bet  at  pearl's.  all  he  knew  was  that  if  it  was  made  by  vivienne  maiziere,  it  was  going  to  taste  good.  “do  you  like  salmon  ?”

he's  not  sure  what  it  is  about  his  face  that  says  TALK  TO  ME,  but  this  is  not  apollo's  first  time  being  approached  by  a  stranger.  he's  polite  enough  to  muster  up  a  smile  and  go  along  with  any  small  talk.  however,  when  the  woman  in  front  of  him  asks  if  he  can  take  her  picture,  he  hesitates.  “i'm  actually  a  terrible  photographer…  definitely  not  something  i  do  too  often.  i'm  sure  there's  someone  MUCH  BETTER  who  could  help  you  out.”

he  spots  a  familiar  face  not  too  far,  but  he's  hesitant  whether  or  not  to  approach.  him  and  serin  could  not  be  any  more  DIFFERENT--  the  only  thing  bringing  them  together  being  the  roommate  ad  he'd  posted  pretty  desperately.  there  could've  definitely  been  worse  candidates,  but  there  also  could  be  better  ones.  still,  they  lived  together,  and  if  you  couldn't  talk  to  the  person  you  shared  a  kitchen  with,  who  could  you  talk  to  ?  so,  he  takes  a  few  steps  to  properly  catch  up  with  her.  “hey,”  he  gets  out,  actually  loud  enough  to  be  heard.  “funny  seeing  you  here.  didn't  really  take  you  for  the  FRIED  FOOD  type.”
