I think this question is more relevant what with CC popping his head back up from his hole and whining about no one understanding him AGAIN.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I’ve been thinking about this question for a while. I’m probably not very qualified to answer because, to be quite frank, I haven’t given the mythology of the X-Files much thought for a very very long time. I just gave up on understanding it once I realized that the writers didn’t care either.

In general terms then - a series bible would have laid out long term goals. Of characters, of organizations. It would have had a plan for where they saw things heading, what they wanted the ending to be. They would have HAD an end.

Of course, things get complicated when real life intervenes. When actors renegotiate and leave the series. But it’s a lot easier to change something if there’s something substantial there to begin with, rather than making things up on the spot.

The solution to every real life problem, Chris Carter, is not someone’s character getting abducted by aliens.

In regards to your second question. Because there was no bible, there was no ultimate truth to be revealed. So I highly doubt that was a thing. I think that if there’d been a bible and there was some sort of overarching plotline with a definable end, it should have been revealed in the penultimate season, or perhaps the movie, with the fallout and a good ending in the final season that followed. I love season 6 because of the character-centric episodes (Rain King, The Unnatural, Milagro) but the mythology and Diana shit introduced just to complicate everything is just fucking terrible.

Naruto: 

Favourite character: Yamato 

Second favourite character: Kakashi (this order can switch)

Least favourite character: Oroch*maru

The character I’m most like: Probably Kakashi. (Not as much for anything aptitude-related so much as for recovery arcs, chronic exhaustion, unnecessary caginess and day job.) Also if you’ve ever done that Naruto character match-up, my top three results were Obito, Kakashi and Deidara. Oops.

Favourite pairing: Kakayama, Minakushi

Least favourite pairing: Anything sensei/student put that away

Favourite moment: At the moment, I would say Zabuza’s death scene. Like just Kakashi and Zabuza immediately deciding they’re no longer at odds despite what’s transpired and everything that happens after (“I’d like to go to the same place as you.”/ “You’d be able to go too.” And the retroactive additions, “Even they were our enemies… I liked them. Is that weird?” / “No… I liked them too.”) Like they were really onto something there

Least favourite character: I don’t remember the antagonists as much as the protagonists, but I’ll say Kugaha. Also fun fact the Noragami Wiki completely obliterates him
