there’s not much talking my way out of that one, is there? but you see, love, it’s more complicated than just what i did. i had to do it, kidnapping emile, i just had to. if i didn’t, well, who knows what he could’ve done to september. he’s tormenting that kid, i know he is. some form of manipulation, changing the way they think, making them hate me. i know that’s what he wants to do, it’s what he’s TRYING to do. i couldn’t just let him do that, love, could i?

september is like a daughter to me, and they need a strong father figure in their life. YOU KNOW WHAT ROBERT WAS LIKE. you’ve heard all about it, emile must have told you. he doesn’t stop talking when it comes to that piece of shit. one thing emile and i have in common is a desire to protect september from him, but emile is going about it all wrong. i’ll give him points for killing the bastard, that much was a good choice, but he’s messing with their mind, love. he’s turning them into someone they’re not. i’m not trying to hurt september, I’M NOT, but they’re a docile thing, innocent despite the perverted shit they’d been forced into. i see myself in them, a kid who’s father wasn’t a good man. but things are different for september, they don’t have a mother, love. they don’t have a person to bring them down to earth like i did. i may have turned out okay (don’t look at me like that) but they’re on a bad path if they don’t have someone that cares about them around. and emile isn’t that person.
