A large portion of the side of the train was now gone, and Niamh finally stepped away from the other side of it. Souls had already crossed over, with little need of help from her, and now there were two left in the car. Desperate and clinging to the scrap that barely hung on. The metal that was brittle with cold and damage. One of the men would come away, and the other...they weren't sure yet, that's why she was there. She stepped out to the edge and watched them, heard one struggle to reach just a little bit further as Sioda drifted around to her side, watched the other strain to reach across so small and so drastic a space. For a moment she dared to hope for them, that they could just manage to do it, that someone would grant them some favor.
It was painfully expected when he fell. Hearing the scream fade with the drop and the struggling, disbelieving breaths of shock from the one who still clung to the train door. Nia looked at Steve Rogers before stepping off the edge herself, and following James Barnes down to where he'd landed.
Snow didn't crunch under her boots, no coat shielded her from the cold. She didn't wear her robes, she didn't carry her scythe and wouldn't call it until it was needed. When she found the form laying in the snow, Sioda circled around the area, ears tilting one way and the next and listening before he sat beside the body. Tail curled around his feet and silent. Waiting. Nia came up beside him and knelt down, looking over the signs of bruising, of broken bones, of blood, the mutilated look of one arm. She made sure to be where he could see her, without having to strain to find her, it was one of the few kindnesses she could offer now, "Sergeant Barnes?" she kept her voice soft, watched for any recognition. Any sign that he understood what was happening, "...you don't have to speak if you don't want to, or can't, but I'm going to stay here with you, if that's alright." she hoped that the frigid cold of the snow and the wind helped dull the pain.
