FOUND! Discworld reference in non-Discworld thing.
So I'm watching Endeavor (British Detective Drama) and at some point D.I. Thursday says he was trained at Cable Street by "his old boss" Sergeant Vimes.
We haven't gotten to this point yet but my spouse and I kept comparing D.I. Thursday to our beloved Commander Vimes and so my spouse looked for it. Originally thinking maybe there was some inspiration or something. Yeah ❤️ 💙 💜
