As one of those stereotypical people who use sarcasm and a false sense of superiority to hide how insecure they actually are, this has been a tough challenge, which i wanna make clear i only accepted cos it was Pili who asked:

Not one of the cool kids, no. But Naruto thinks he's pretty awesome anyway, with that cute nose, and straight back, and white skin. Handsome and dangerous. Leaning against the wall and checking his phone while Naruto pretends to read one of his shoujo mags like the otaku he is.

“We should go to the movies,” he says with a gentle voice. Gaara looks up, lips parted and enticing. Even, white teeth Naruto wants to trace with his tongue. “As in—you know, a date.”

Red hair, and red knuckles, and faintly red ears. That's Gaara for you too, never making fun of Naruto's nonexistent fashion sense and always getting the bullies off of him with his fists in a slightly misplaced sense of romanticism.

“Okay,” the boy says nonchalantly, going back to his phone. He's trying to hide the smile tugging at his lips. “Sure.”

Naruto grins, hand looking for bony fingers. Thumb brushing over swollen knuckles.
