My take on their canon relationship:

They don’t have one. I can’t remember one instance where they talked to each other be it in anthologies or TDP.

Do I ship them?

Sure.

Reasons why I do/don’t ship them:

Because…girls…

I do kinda like the idea of two characters who are ‘putting on airs’ interacting because it can lead to interesting conflicts and tension.

Probably.

I’m sorry my reasons can only be shallow because I’m not invested in Celes at all as a character, lol.

Headcanon, if any:

Maizono’s very good at having a cheerful face during a poker game. Celes would definitely find her to be an interesting opponent, at least.

My take on their canon relationship:

I’M ALSO PRETTY SURE THEY DON’T HAVE ONE AND HAVE NEVER SPOKEN TO EACH OTHER IN ANY OF THE MATERIALS. I remember Sonia interacting with Togami (in Chapter 6, I mean) but I don’t think she really does with Kirigiri.

Reasons why I do/don’t ship them:

GIRLS!!!

Okay in a more genuine sense, I actually do think these two would get along together pretty well. They both have the interesting similarity in that they’re burdened with great responsibility by their families, although Sonia is a lot less comfortable with that than Kirigiri is. But I think that could be a good conversation between the two of them, especially since Kirigiri would be more encouraging and good about pointing out Sonia’s stronger points, providing a bit of a well-needed confidence boost. Sonia could also coax Kirigiri into being more open, and it could be a more mutual thing.

They probably share a lot of elegant tastes, too, although I’m all for the idea of Kirigiri being goaded into trying some very interesting Novoselic dishes. Also who doesn’t love the idea of two badass girlfriends hunting a golden Makango?

I love that idea.

TenMikan

My take on their canon relationship:

They had one whole event together in TDP and it was honestly the most wholesome shit I’ve ever seen.

Let Tenko be a defender of all girls (who swoon in return) forever. It suits her so much better. Also Mikan giggling at Tenko complimenting her is also pretty cute and not deliberately self-destructive like her behavior usually is.

Do I ship them?

Yes!

Reasons why I do/don’t ship them:

Because Tenko has shown in Chapter 3 that she’s unwilling to put up with self-destructive and harmful methods of coping so there’s a good chance she’s not going to put up with Mikan’s manipulative tendencies.

So their relationship is a lot likely to work through initial unhealthiness and Tenko would encourage Mikan into actively being better not just for her own sake but for others as well. It’ll be a rocky road getting there but I like to think that Mikan would genuinely try for Tenko’s sake and later her own. I also really like the idea of Tenko just inspiring Mikan from how expressive and enthusiastic she is, and the idea of someone trying to be better because they want to do right by this other person that they’re so inspired by is just… I’m weak.

There is a concern about Tenko getting a little too life coach-y, but I like to think that Tenko would encourage Mikan into seeing an actual therapist so that the issue is side-stepped at least a little.

I also think that Mikan could help Tenko in return because Mikan can get a little harsh and outspoken if she’s confident enough so she could probably help Tenko be a little less…uh. Dumb. Naive, too, I guess.

She’d probably feel really bad for telling off Tenko, but tbh I think being told off would inspire Tenko to try and pick up better on the mood so that she can emotionally mature a little more.

This got a lot longer than I thought it would.

Headcanon, if any:

Tenko immediately covers Mikan up whenever she falls. It’s her instinct. Mikan is at first very bewildered by this.

How much do I ship (%):

DR1 is less ambitious but it succeed in pretty much everything it tries to do, whereas sdr2 and ndrv3 have a lot of stuff that are all over the place in a 'let's throw everything at the wall and sees what sticks' way.

I wouldn’t say it’s less ambitious, just because it introduced and set the base for the killing game format we all know and love dearly in the first place, but I get what you mean. DR1 keeps its themes, characters, etc simple and to the point which means less things for the narrative to get distracted by. 

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

not sure what qualifies as a "guilty pleasure" but i'm fond of dark storylines. it's kind of sadistic but i'm really not sure... although angst is good, typical angst plot (aka one-sided love. i keep reading these komaeda/hinata/nanami & ouma/saihara/kaede fics & they're all. literally the same fic. yeah. though i think hanahaki is interesting sometimes)

oh boy... not sure if i have a specific character... probably all, though i don't like it with kid characters (unless it's a sort of character study)

5. Your favorite illustration?

Eldarya: Apparition of the Oracle from episode 4. Ezarel isn’t my favorite out of the main boys, but his face in that illustration amuses me every time xD

MCL HSL: Lysander’s from episode 9. I relate to Lysander a lot in terms of personality, such as being forgetful so often and writing being a main hobby of his. I like that his illustration shows that he loves animals as well, due to growing up on a farm.

MCL UL: Hyun’s from episode 1. As an aroace who experiences aesthetic attraction, he is very cute!

8. Your favorite character(crush not included)

Eldarya: Leiftan is starting to grow on me; he’s kind and understanding of Erika. I’m currently on episode 5, and it was so sweet of him wishing Erika luck on convincing someone to join her on her first mission.

MCL HSL: Over the years of playing this game, Alexy became a favorite! He sounds like a person I would hang out with in real life.

Mello: What is your favorite food?

I HONESTLY DONT KNOW! I like a lot of different food and I’m the sort of person who’d get sick of eating anything if I had to eat it every day, even if I technically like the food so hrm….  I guess there’s something to be said about the simplicity of just having a bowl of rice, kimchi and seaweed. But on the other hand, heart attack bombs like mac and cheese are also fantastic. As are fish tacos and literally every single thai noodle dish ever, so and I haven’t even gotten to stuff like potato korokke or red bean pastries…. I can’t pick, lmao 

Rem: If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Nghhhhhhhhhhhh when I watched those DR3 trailers for the first time I looked at him like “Hm… Let’s see what they have in store for this guy, he seems interesting” (I thought the same thing about Miaya… *sighs*) but then… he had no use for the story at all, except being his girlfriend’s “step stone” and even in the whole argument between Ruruka and Seiko he didn’t have much to do except supporting Ruruka but like, if they’ve been together for basically their entire lives, couldn’t he tell how she truly felt deep down?

I mean, he was supposed to know her better than anyone else, right? Couldn’t he guess what was the real problem? Couldn’t he help them reconcile? I think it would have made Ruruka happy (or was he secretly jealous of the way Ruruka looked up to Seiko, maybe?), I mean, he was a sweet boyfriend and all, but…

I would have liked to see his talent in action, too. We saw more of Ruruka’s and Seiko’s, while he was… there (?).

Also, the fact that he barely interacted with anyone but Ruruka didn’t help at all. I understand why he sided with her but it would have added something to his character if he also had a conflict of his own with Seiko instead of only “You betrayed my gf!!!” (again, perhaps some jealousy was there… if it was, they could have made something with it…) or if he and Seiko also used to be friends, maybe, they were there only for Ruruka, that was all.

I think I would have liked him if they actually bothered to do more with him and to give him an actual, distinct personality (I liked the implication of him and Sakakura disliking each other. Granted, Izayoi dislikes everyone who’s not Ruruka but giving him the opportunity to have different and multiple interactions could have been nice) but I guess giving Ruruka an extra episode of life and regret was enough for the writers?

This was iconic though

I know, the kinda scary part is that there is no certainty that the death would be done well! What one of the hints says is “within the first five minutes of the movie thanos will do something really big/terrible so that we all understand what a huge deal he is and that he doesn’t mess around”.

So maybe it won’t be that way, but right now what I expect to happen is the ambush of the Asgard Ark, the tesseract scene, Loki dying, Thor being flung into space to later meet GOTG. Possibly all the Asgardians also dying, which, noooo
