she’s more like a pretear magical girl then a sailor moon magical girl [which means she can only transform/use her powers when she “fuses” with another person, but because of a magical artifact or is the reincarnation of someone magical]
she was just a normal girl who liked to play tennis and eat sweets when one day these five dudes show up [pictures below] and tell her she’s magical yo and she’s just like “ha! if i was magic i’d be passing math!” and walks away. then something terrible happens to the city she lives in and BOOM they show up again, one of them plants a kiss on her forehead [how they fuse] and MAGICAL GLOWING LIGHT SHE BECOMES A MAGICAL GIRL!!!!!
each one of the boys has a different power that she gets when the fuse. water, fire, earth, air and light. her outfit stays the same but her weapons change depending on who she’s fused with.
it’s the stereotypical good verse evil kinda thing so of course there are five evil dudes who fuse with an evil girl who are trying to make the world evil (i’m so good at describing things aren’t it?)
it really bugs me in magical girl verses that they just like, change outfits and NO ONE KNOWS WHO THEY ARE!! so, when rin transforms she looks completely different [pictures below]

Yali's survival instincts are strong ones: living forever ranks highly on her list of priorities, and though it would be a lie to say that she's never been tempted to give up, that would be like letting Athena win, after all these years. If pressed, she'll fight for survival with all the fury of a cornered rat, and damn the collateral damage. This isn't quite the same thing as saying that her actions always work in the service of her own survival. She has a perverse sense of humour, and isn't quite as smart as she thinks she is, with the result that she has a history of making trouble for herself which might have been just as easily avoided.
