Day 31 in my 100-day project, Imaginary Places. My father came from Cabo Verde. And he spoke Portuguese (not Creole as far as I know). But he spoke Swedish with us. Except for some phrases, like this: “–Sentate direito!”, which means ‘sit properly’.
