incredibly  hard  .  most  people  who  know  stu  would  probably  chalk  it  up  to  stu  being  selfish  or  just  incredibly  daft  and  inconsiderate  .  but  the  truth  is  ,  he  has  troubles  reading  other’s  emotions  because  he  lacks  the  sympathy  to  care  .  this  stems  from  his  life  growing  up  and  being  abandoned  by  his  parents  ,  which  never  allowed  him  to  truly  form  the  proper  bonds  and  emotions  that  a  normal  person  would  .  his  empathy  for  others  is  little  to  none  ,  so  it  makes  it  difficult  for  him  to  even  concern  himself  with  other’s  feelings  ,  let  alone  care  .  and  its  obvious  he  doesn’t  by  the  way  he  continues  to  talk  about  casey  and  steve’s  murder  in  front  of  sidney  ,  who’s  obviously  distressed  by  the  conversation  .  anyone  else  could  look  at  her  and  see  that  they  should  stop  talking  ,  change  the  subject  .  but  stu  can’t  ,  he  doesn’t  understand  why  she  walks  away  when  she  does  .  and  he  gets  a  lot  of  flack  for  it  from  both  billy  and  tatum  because  of  it  .  which  is  where  i  think  his  douche  bag  /  asshole  image  comes  from  ,  though  it’s  much  more  complicated  than  him  just  being  choosing  to  be  a  dick   (  don’t  get  me  wrong  though  ,  stu  still  is  a  massive  asshole  )  .  but  the  actions  stem  from  his  psychological  disorder  and  the  fact  that  his  brain  just  simply  doesn't  work  like  everyone  else’s  does  .
