Dhammapada Vers - 08 - “Unshakable Mind – Teachings of the Buddha”
අසුභානුපස්සිං විහරන්තං ඉන්ද්රියෙසු සුසංවුතං භොජනම්හි ච මත්තඤ්ඤුං සද්ධං ආරද්ධවීරියං තං වෙ නප්පසහති මාරො වාතො සෙලං’ව පබ්බතං.
asubhānupassiṁ viharantaṁ indriyesu susaṁvutaṁ bhojanamhi ca mattayyyuṁ saddhaṁ āraddhavīriyaṁ taṁ ve nappasahati māro vāto selaṁ’va pabbataṁ.
උඬුමාතකාදී දශ අශුභයන් අතුරෙන් එක්තරා අශුභයක් අනුව බලමින් වසන, ඉඳුරන් කෙරෙහි මනා සංවරය ඇති, භෝජනයෙහි පමණ දන්නා වූ, ශ්රද්ධා ඇති, සතර ඉරියව්හි වඩන ලද වීර්ය්ය ඇති, මෙබඳු පුද්ගලයාව ක්ලේශමාර තෙමේ ඒකාන්තයෙන් මැඩ නො පවත්වයි. වාතය ඒකඝන ගල් පර්වතයක් මැඩ ලිය නො හෙන්නාක් මෙනි. “A person who dwells contemplating one of the ten kinds of foulness (such as corpses), who has good restraint over the senses, who knows moderation in eating, who possesses faith, and who has diligence cultivated in the four postures—such a person is certainly not subdued by Māra of the defilements. It is like how the wind cannot crush a solid rocky mountain.”
