{Honestly, at first I didn’t like Eric at all. For me, he was that bad shinigami. But then… how he cared about Alan… My goodness. By the end of the musical I was in love with him, no lies. WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE, WHY DO THEY ALWAYS KILL THE BEST PEOPLE.

((Are you kidding? He’d get hammered with them and start up a game of strip twister. Then Alan would have to mother them all in the morning.

Suddenly, three very drunk Reapers swarm Eric and start smooching him all over. Yes, even William, the normally tightly wound-up supervisor.

"Eriiiic, come drink and play with us~!" Grelle chirped drunkenly, licking his ear.

"We’ve gots plently of booze to share, ehehehe." William slurred, almost losing his footing as he groped at Eric’s shirt.

"I drank th’most, Slings! Ahahahaha!" Ronald squeaked, attempting to climb on the Scotsman’s back.

Her face was completely wet from the tears she had just shed. So this moment had already come, and truth be told, she had been waiting for everything, everything but what she got.

Her breath hitched several times as the maid looked into Eric’s eyes. What had he just told her? Was that true? Or were her ears trying to torture her even more…? She couldn’t believe that. Eric couldn’t love her, a person without any fortune, any status, lying for such a long time before she decided to confess everything.

Because that was what he deserved. The truth. And the truth was, she loved him, too.

"Eric, I…" she started, but truly, she had no idea how to finish this sentence. Instead, she simply shook her head as she thought. "I can’t. You’re a noble. I… I am just a maid. That would never work, and you know that. Your family and friends would never accept me, and I simply don’t fit… You would get to regret that soon enough, and I cannot see that happen."

Her heart would break seeing themselves go even further and further apart. It would be easier to just cut it short.

"If we lived in another world, where someone’s status doesn’t matter, we would live happily ever after. You’d be my prince and I’d treat you as one. But it’s no fairy tale, Eric. You’re a prince, but I’m just a maid. And it will forever stay this way."
