I’m so proud of my residents. Not just like a one time thing that makes me proud to be their RA but all the fucking time. These girls are some of the most spectacular, hilarious, courageous, intelligent and kindest people I’ve met on campus. I’m overjoyed that they feel comfortable enough to come to me with anything, from being locked out of their room, to asking my opinion of which outfit to wear to a team dinner, to needing help with a difficult homework assignment or to even when they feel unsafe and in danger of hurting themselves. I love all my residents, whether they’re from this year or last year, I love each and every one of them for different reasons. I didn’t know that I could be so protective of these girls, not wanting them to ever be upset or made uncomfortable by anyone or other outside forces. These are my kids and if you hurt them in any way shape or form, I will break your fucking legs.
